Every single game I find myself thinking. "Where has the midfield gone?". It seems that in the summer we brought in some more attacking players to complement Michu. Yet, in doing this we have forgot about other areas of the pitch.
Why have we got 5 attacking midfielders, when we technically only play with one? (Im counting Michu, Pozuelo, Shelvey, JDG and Pablo (I may have forgot someone)).
Leon, is not being helped in midfield in any sense. When Joe Allen was around you saw the two work together, we don't have that now and have never replaced Joe properly.
Do you think this is the reason for the troubles we are having?
P.S. Canas has not cut the mustard for me. Just runs round in circles and contributes little in my opinion.
