Am I being soft or did anyone else feel this was a tad disrespectful. Particularly in contrast to Jonjos respectful acknowledgement!

All this not celebrating, is plain stupid. Poor Routs would not be able to celebrate most of his goals, he's had so many teams - lucky he did not give a f**k against the scum We are his club now and he should be overjoyed at helping us and scoring.

And even more overjoyed he gets 100 odd k a month to do it. Lets be honest if JJS had to sit an interview for a job, he wouldn't get it :-)

I 100% agree. Never mind about being respectful of your previous club, what about the disrespect to your current one. As mentioned previously, I hate this aspect of the game.

Footballers are like brainless sheep, they just follow what they think is right for their 'image'. Ironically, with a few honourable exceptions, normally foreign and educated, they wouldn't know real respect for others if it bit them on the arse. Routs celebration against scummer was my favourite moment of the season so far...he went absolutely tonto.....real emotion there. AS for Brentan........well I suppose at least he didn't run down the touchline slapping palms...though I think he might have wanted to. I actually see those celebrations as respectful to us. They shat themselves in that game and they were in a real panic until that spawny bounce.

I tend to eat my lunch in my garden shed when i am not working, and at other times i have mine with dai and phil at abbey works. They always have the same things every day, Dai has cheese and Phil likes ham and pickle. I try to mix it up a bit, i had ryvita and salad last week on wednesday but was still hungry by 2pm so i bought a mars bar. Its all swings and roundabouts. May i suggest some tuna and red onion mixed with mayo and pepper with a light salad on tiger bread ? Its a lonely meal, but lovely just before Doctors after the lunchtime news.

Think it depends on the circumstances. If for example Leon had scored against us for Sheff Utd at the Lib, don't think I would have been delighted to see him running around celebrating. Some players have deep rooted links with some clubs, we are blessed with players like Monk, Leon, Tate who have been here for many years and been through a hell of a lot. Shelvey up in Liverpool though. Don't think he was there as a youngster was he and told that he wasn't good enough.
