Too little to too much?

Unless of course the afternoons are based on set pieces and formation perhaps?

With the fragile state of some of our players hope it's not too much for them.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

What are your thoughts on this?

Would you have intense training when 9 players are injured? Or would you go easy on the players in order to try to avoid further injuries?

We haven't got nine players injured.

Canas
Michu
Vorm all training

Only Shelvy is "out".

They were given sunday, Monday off after a terrible effort against West ham. Hope he's flogging them to death.

Poll: Some scummer on the anus board reckons 80% of us want them to go down. so... do

No idea. That isn't 9 players out.

If the players are unfit then a double training session is surely a good thing?>

Training doesn't just mean fitness training, it's revisiting all the things that have gone wrong in recent matches and working on them.

I hope the entire team has had to watch the West Ham match from start to finish and feel what we all went through.

This is so old fashion I cannot believe people actually still think running until sundown will make the players think. Oh, I better do my job?

Don't you think that could go down a little mixed with the players, some thinking: "Just what we need" and others: "What an idiot"?

Depends on the content. If it's based on shape and function then the rest periods will probably be ok.

Again the duration of the session will be key, and how they recover

Did you read the article?

Here is a quote:
"There have been suggestions that one of the reasons why Laudrup lost his job was because Swansea's owners felt that training under the Dane was not intense enough."

We had 9 players injured in most of january. So should ML have conducted intense training sessions in january or should he have gone easy on the 13 players that were not injured? What would be the right thing to do? A lot of the injuries were from training sessions.

Depends what they define as intense. Being more concerned about joining in the games and doing things off the cuff is probably what they meant

I agree that over training probably caused injuries and am glad the clueless c*nt Garcia is gone

Well it looks like the good old SWEP got it wrong again, the team haven't trained this morning as they have been in a meeting and will train this afternoon instead, SSN just reported live from the training ground.

No one doubts their stamina but tiredness from over training has contributed to the sheer volume of functional muscle injuries

Poor periodisation

I thought the problem was to little training - or so is said by Monk (and board).

Wasn't it Villa who was outplayed for 89 minuts.

Most of the opponent teams got tired in the second half - when we start to put massive pressure (and score most of our goals)

Hard to tell without quotes. I know the stories of training being off the cuff and a joke have been circulating up here in London through people at other clubs.

Who knows the truth hey?

Fitness wasn't an issue for most our players as we've given up pressing teams and chasing players down. After tapping it around midfield and the back four for 70 odd mins we should be bloody fitter than the opposition in the final 20mins.
