Swansea City : Gwyn Stato with all the info plus more pre match
Gwyn Davies is a rare commodity in football fandom. He is a keen historian on all things Swansea, and we are very proud to have him in our team here on the Indy.
This evenings game with some journeys back in time from Gwyn this afternoon.
Let’s kick off with the referee, Leigh Doughty.
It’s definitely one of those games that the Swans need the referee to be right on his game. It will be hard enough without a poor official or two. Swans head coach, Luke Williams has made some edited comments on tonight’s game. "It will be a ferocious atmosphere, they have a very good squad and a very good manager. So, if you go there and perform well then I think it should give you a huge boost in confidence because you know you are not going to face much more difficult than that. They are going to be in the mix to go back up, they are in that bracket. So we will need to be at our very best, we will need to be very, very brave. You have to be squeaky clean and do everything well, and then you have to add to that as well. That is the challenge for us.”
There is no video feed from Luke Williams, we can only wonder why after Sunday’s Sky post match. We’ve said it before and we will say it again. Things are not right.
Chris Wilder pre match interview below though -
The game kicks off tonight at 7.45pm at Bramall Lane, Sheffield.
What to read next:
Swansea City : A new investor to add to the picture ? People will be asking about any new investors at the Swans from today onwards. There will be investment and one of those could well be self confessed ‘Swansea City nut’ and one of the most talked about and successful businessmen in the United States.
Swansea City get 20 million investment : Levien & Kaplan go !The news of the departure of two men who have pretty much stalled the Swans progress since relegation from the Premier League has been met with delight by Swans fans. Andrew Coleman, who we reported a month ago as a part of discussions to overhaul the club has at last got his wish.
Swansea City : Can Peart-Harris maintain his form ? At twenty two years of age Myles Peart-Harris is one player who came to the Swans on loan from Brentford with an indifferent history as a professional player. He had merely stroked the starting handle of the pro game, the antithesis of success. He was finding it too hard at times to succeed in such a demanding business.
Swansea City show some steel & guts to get the win Swansea City moved into tenth place in the Championship last night with a very hard fought win over fifth place Watford in their Championship game at the Swansea.com. Myles Peart-Harris most certainly earned the plaudits in a tense second half. The Swans will remain in tenth spot even after the rest of the Championship fixtures are completed tonight.
At last we see goals and and a win despite avoidable scares late onSwans head coach, Luke Williams really needs to deeply reflect on his late in the game decision making after this win. It could have been another story of throwing it all away again. Despite that the Swans scored, not only once but twice with Florian Bianchini and Zǎn Vipotnik earning the points.
