Swansea City : Are the club going to wriggle out of another forum with unanswered questions ?

After an exceptionally dismal performance against Bristol City, Swans head coach Luke Williams has taken it upon himself to state ‘he and the players can’t wait’ for the derby game on Saturday. Well, it’s time for some observations.

We on this website are genuinely sick of hearing the same nonsense week in week out and then players being wheeled out to say this and that during the build up to games. Yesterday’s performance at Ashton Gate was pitiful, it lacked determination and courage and was an embarrassment to the many Swans fans who travel the length and breadth of the country supporting the club.

Basically it was a total insult to all of us, even those who don’t even accept it, they too were being shamed by players, some who earn in excess of twenty thousand pounds a week. That very thought disgusts me personally when many Swans fans don’t even earn that in a year. Tonight we will hear further belittling talk from the ‘panel’ in a Swans Trust forum discussion being attended by Chairman Andrew Coleman, Sporting Director Paul Watson and no doubt mystery man Ken Gude who knows absolutely nothing about the football club but is deemed as being capable of being on the clubs payroll.

We have some questions as well which we have passed on to the Supporters Trust as members of that particular organisation.

There’s possibly room as well to ask why the head of communications, Ben Donovan (below) has taken it upon himself to undermine this website and tell anyone he can to steer clear from Swansea Independent. A website which is being targeted by the club officially that donates every single penny earned to the brain tumour charity. He is affecting our charity work. Why would this deceitful character be allowed by the club to say these things openly to supporters ? And why when a ‘subject access request’ was submitted to the club by this website asking this question did they fail to disclose emails from Donovan to others stating this very allegation ?

Pathetic, cowardly behaviour.

Previous forums have resulted in the usual blarney, which is laughable when you consider our current Chairman makes personal claims on the Emerald Isle with his so called connections to Ireland. This is so typical of this current majority ownership to politicise and then undermine, agitate, bluff, create smoke screens, sell out and completely ignore the real people who follow this club. And banging your gums about Irish ancestry is another freak sideshow I’m particularly sick of no matter who it is.

How this club is run, is just wanting a transparent answer to the really hard questions. To date they have ignored the question and gotten away with it. And until this current crew cut and run - this will continue to be an issue. They have to be hounded. It isn’t hard to be open and honest, but of course the opposite only applies to those who have something to hide. This website after the disgusting effort by an employee called Ben Donovan to affect fund raising for a charity associated to my daughter (she has a terminal diagnosis of brain cancer) couldn’t care less about the outcomes as long as they are transparent and honest. And we have no doubt that’s the majority view. However once this communications clown started his dirty work, and made it personal it leaves us with no choice but to make it personal too. We made numerous attempts with this individual to smooth a pathway between this website and the club. It was then that he started his campaign. We have it all documented in many formats, and many people who have personally stated they will stand up and be counted if necessary. Because they too have been told the same by Donovan.

There are others out there who know only too well this type of attack doesn’t work. It’s proven.

And until this amateur is managed by the club properly then the gloves remain off. Never start a war you can’t finish, especially when you personally attack a persons family whose focus is on a young woman who is dying. And the vehicle to assist, make aware and make money for a charity is attacked and approved by the club (it seems) then accountability is paramount, in any forum you like.

Enjoy the forum to those who are going, and don’t let them get away with a moments ‘blarney’

Burnley 1 Swansea City 0 : Timid and listless Swans beaten at the death
If anyone’s wants proof that shopping for players on low salaries in the Championship doesn’t pay off then it was evidenced today. Despite a very competent back four and keeper the rest of the team was sour and lacked any punch or awareness in controlling a football. Persistently caught offside or tripping over the ball, giving it away or relying on Myles Peart-Harris and a tired Ronald just wasn’t going to work.
