However, here’s some more context for the Jack Army afternoon.

Ged Brannan has a plan
"It's great, Saturday is all about the FA Cup and the lads are looking forward to it," he said. "They're really excited about it. We're going to go there and give it our very best. We're going there with no pressure on us, we're the underdogs and we will see what we get out of it. The lads will go there full of confidence, we've had two really hard games in the FA Cup already this year. We've beaten Lincoln and Wycombe, so bring on Swansea, let's see what happens there. They're going to be quality, they're going to be top notch. They're all great on the ball, proper athletes. It's going to be a really tough game. We'll go with a gameplan, and hopefully it works."

David Fitzgerald will be at his first Shrimps game since being appointed in to a coaching role at the club.

Referee Tom Nield will take charge on Saturday afternoon for the sixteenth time this season. In his last fifteen, he has given out sixty one cards - one red alongside sixty yellows. Sadly again the Swans have no pre match build up, the events of the past few days clearly overshadowing this game. But it’s not for the first time this season. The OS media team even contradicted Chairman Andrew Coleman regards Sheehan’s involvement this afternoon.

Williams has made a comment or two. "It’s an incredible thing. It’s going to be quite a moment. I’ve experienced some fantastic moments at this stadium before and to be back is just incredible. It’s an incredible feeling. Whoever we play, we want to get off to a positive start. We were competing against each other just last week, but I recognise a good team when we see one, so we will have to play well against Morecambe.”

Charlie Patino is again in the news with Italian sources reporting Juve recruitment officers at the stadium today to watch him. They must know something about his involvement today.

There will be changes, hopefully not too many. Let’s get this season started.

Team news here at 4.30pm UK time.

What to read next:

Swansea City v Cardiff City : The records that tell you who is the best !
People will see this game as the fiercest derby in the UK, others will shout Rangers v Celtic or Manchester United v Liverpool even Swindon v Oxford (not sure why) but all of these games are different to Swansea City v Cardiff City. This game is the only ‘bubble trip’ in the country.
Luke Williams : Where could he end up on Sunday ?
There’s not a lot going on transfer wise regards the Swans at least. No signings after seventeen days but we are seemingly determined to get players in. Plus there’s the derby tomorrow as well. To cap that off Luke is going scouting abroad.
Swansea City transfer news : still passing the ball around the back
The Welsh derby between Swansea City and Cardiff City kicks off at 12.30pm on Saturday, the Swans the away side and very much struggling for form on the road. Tonight we will look at where we are as the transfer window reaches half way.,
Joe Low knock back number two will not deter the Swans
A second bid before this weekend’s dismal FA Cup game away at Southampton has been turned down by Wycombe. That bid was for centre back, Joe Low. It was common news a second bid was coming but now it seems a third will be needed.
Swansea City : Luke continues to make odd statements
The loss at Southampton in the FA Cup with what many Swansea City fans believe was an ill informed choice of squad is bringing matters to a head at Swansea City.

Southampton v Swansea City : Huge financial incentive today for Swansea City
Luke Williams and Ivan Juric have had their pre match interviews prior to the game at St Mary’s which kicks off today at 4.30pm. It’s now not about what they are saying, it’s about what they do.
Southampton v Swansea City FA Cup & Adam Phillips
The Swans take on Southampton later today in the FA Cup. The game kicks off at 4.30pm UK time, and is LIVE on the BBC by way of a variety of methods. Ticket sales for Southampton fans are drastically low but the the Swans have sold in healthy numbers, more than ninety three for sure.
Swans festive round up with Jack Butty
His scurvy crew had lashed him to the foc’sle, which is where he was when the schooner beached at Pencarrow Head. Dusting himself down, Jack Butty recruited a new crew from the taverns and houses of ill repute in Polperro. He roared ‘The Butty is back’ to the seagulls and crew. A salty cap’n and crabby, too, but Jack Butty is back.
Swansea City : Joe Low latest & Harry Darling : Behind the news
Swansea City will have more discussions from Monday with Wycombe Wanderers over a potential move for centre back, Joe Low. The twenty two year old seems to be the top target of the month for Swans Chairman, Andrew Coleman. There is some leverage on a Portuguese based Brazilian but that’s still in our things to do tray.
