Duff mentions behind the scenes issues when citing the Swans league position

Michael Duff looking far happier now he has a game to plan for on Saturday mentioned a few issues he is facing on a daily basis at the Swans.

‘Behind the scenes’ was mentioned twice when citing causes for the Swans being in seventeenth position in the league. However, with the Championship as we know it and seven points outside of the play offs it’s no big deal.

It’s looking like Mykola will be back after Christmas as will Joe Allen and possibly much later Nathan Wood. Speaking today Duff said, "In terms of injuries, we are still depleted but people are getting fitter. Josh Key is close.

"Mykola is on the grass, as is Joe Allen and Azeem too. They are not integrated into training yet, but they are doing individual work. We are getting there but they are still not available to us. Josh should be available next week, people like Joe and Azeem and Mykila are more like three to four weeks away”

It’s weird though that when the head coach states ‘issues’ behind the scenes at the club that a form clarification isn’t made. Todays interview was covered on the official website, but no mention of the reasoning behind Duff’s comments or indeed any mention whatsoever. Once again the Swans deliver a feature with little clarity or information. Especially in areas that clearly concern Michael Duff or he wouldn’t have mentioned them twice within a six minute segment of a twelve minute interview.

Any thoughts ?

We do have a few, but that’s for the future.

Referee Backhouse denies the Swans a point at West Brom
The Swans looked highly unlikely that they wouldn’t get a shot on goal after the first half let alone take a point from this game. They nearly did, but referee Anthony Backhouse turned down a fifty fifty penalty shout in the second half, they’ve been given, and then minutes later a clear penalty after a foul on Eom.
