New boys feature for Swansea City in Under 21 triumph : Reaction and goals

Josh Ginnelly, Nathan Tjoe-A-On and Mykola Kuharevich all featured for a strong Swansea City under 21 side yesterday afternoon which also saw Azeem Abdulai included in a 4-1 victory of Crewe Alexandra. All four players came through the game unscathed.

It was Ginnelly who shone the brightest in this game, Sam Parker scored his first goal for the under-21s by netting the opener twenty minutes in, arriving at the far post to convert an excellent cross from Joel Cotterill. Josh Ginnelly doubled the lead after the break with a composed finish, before turning provider to set up Mykola Kuharevich for a tap-in, while substitute Iwan Morgan added a fourth late on.

The game was played at the Swansea.Com and the healthy crowd would have been impressed with the standard of football from both sides. It’s a fine week for the Swans with yesterdays game being free entry, and todays family day eagerly anticipated. On the game itself coach Anthony Wright said. "The manager ( Michael Duff ) has been brilliant about getting the boys training with them, and they’ve had a lot of game time as well, which has been great for them, and for us," added Wright. It’s definitely something they needed, to give them a little taste of what it’s all about. I think it’s something that is going to continue throughout the season."
