More mystery surrounding Michael Obafemi
News has reached us that Michael Obafemi will not start today’s game against Barnsley, it is unconfirmed as yet, but it seems the player hasn’t even travelled with the squad for tonight’s game in Yorkshire.
We hope of course that he has been able to travel by other means, but two sources are now stating he isn’t with the team. If that is the case it is a very sad situation for a young man with bags of talent. His arrival at Swansea was hailed as a new start for Michael, a forward with blistering pace. He has recently had numerous discipline problems so we hope they haven’t arisen again. In fact to some it will be more preferable that Russell Martin discloses he is carrying a slight knock after being substituted against Charlton U23’s on Monday. A game which Yan Dhanda and Morgan Whittaker also featured in.
In any event, Martin will probably now have to say that anyway.
The other issue now seems to be the lack of inclusion of Jay Fulton who we do know is now seeking a move away from Swansea in January. Nottingham Forest are front runners for that signature. Whatever the issues are for Michael Obafemi it is a sad situation as he dame with so much promise but has hardly made an impact since his arrival.
An update on Morgan Whittaker will also follow later.
More team news later today.

Swans in another goal glut game but no finishing power If we look at the players who just are not performing for the Swans then three new bodies are needed come January. If these individuals can be replaced it may well give the Swans the lift they need, especially in games like today. Having said that the Swans had more than enough chances to win this game today.
