Swans ready to do business : Transfer latest as signings are ready to come in

Swansea City are negotiating at least three contracts in a bid to get more players in for their promotion push. Another dogged display by the swans beating Rotherham 3-1 in Yorkshire yesterday has ensured Julian Winter CEO has the green light to make at least two, maybe three signings in the next 36 hours or so.

Morgan Whittaker, one of Steve Cooper’s young international players has more than struggled in what has been a miserable season for Derby County. We do know now a bid has been accepted that could reach £685,000 in time. Derby County are desperate for money due to the current state the pandemic has left the club in. Fortunately a well run Swansea City see value in striker Morgan who Cooper is extremely keen to bring to the club. Initially we believe the fee is £240,000 with another payment of £200,000 if the swans are promoted. If not a staged payment will take place dependent on appearances, International recognition and sell on clauses. It is highly unlikely the figures being mentioned in the press will ever be reached and the actual figure is most certainly not a payment immediately. Swansea City are in no position to outlay that amount on such a young unproven player.

Morgan Whittaker will sign for the swans on Monday pending a medical and him agreeing terms

The other player in the clubs eyeline is Paul Arriola who is keen to sign for the swans in the same sort of deal his fellow compatriot Jordan Morris signed two weeks ago. Arriola is very highly rated in the USA. He turns 26 on Feb 5th and tore his right ACL in D.C. United’s preseason match last February - and scored in his first start after the injury, in the Americans’ exhibition against El Salvador on Dec 9th "There’s obviously been a lot of talk about me potentially going over to Europe on loan,” said Arriola, who has six goals in 34 international appearances. "And right now I can’t really do much, and a lot of it is out of my control. All I can focus on is playing on the field, leave it up to my agent, leave it up to the clubs to try and figure that out.”

Well, as we know that’s not entirely correct as Arriola has taken to twitter to push things along. He is still in the USA this morning and as per the Morris deal will have to complete certain paperwork to allow him to play in the U.K. before tomorrow’s deadline.

Arriola on loan is an option and someone the American influence at Swansea are keen to see happen. And from his social media presence he is too

Wayne’s Routledge and Liam Cullen both injured in the emphatic 5-1 victory over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup last week are both expected to be out for the rest of the season.

Other inquiries are going to be made by the swans throughout today as Andy Scott and co plot their next two days work which could include another loan and another permanent transfer. As Sunday and most importantly Monday progresses we promise to bring you the most up to date and exciting deadline day round up, we have a bit of history from the October deadlines, so trust in us. Swansea City : Does Luke know what he is doing to our club ?
There has been much comment and it has to be said bar a few abusive idiots on social media a lot of frustration on those platforms regards Harry Darling and Luke Williams. Much of this brought about by the reluctance of Luke Williams to just clarify his position at Swansea City.

Honestly Luke do you really believe your PR ! Swans crash at Pompey
If Swansea City could be any more unimaginative and weak in an away fixture this season it will signal that Luke Williams really hasn’t got the credentials to lead this Swansea team to anything other than complete mediocrity. The very fact he is being linked with West Bromwich Albion (it isn’t a rumour Luke, as you well know) tells us he has already lost heart in this Swansea side, and his reluctance to speak truthfully about it is an insult to Swansea fans.

Swansea City : Is Luke thinking this out ? ‘ Call my agent’ West Brom
Swansea City head coach, Luke Williams is either not thinking through his responses to the latest news of West Bromwich Albion being linked to his services, or he’s asking them to come and get him. In any event his remarks post match after a 2-1 win against Luton Town are extremely questionable.
