Defender Donveron Daniels Deadline Day Deal

Not only does he provided the most alliterative headline we've ever used on the site, he sounds like he might just be exactly what we need.

So what we do we know about him, well he's come from Wigan on a twelve month loan deal, Wiki has him as being 6'1, he's 23 years old and he comes from Montserrat which may be a first for ourselves.

The key thing is that he's a defender and our defence has been our biggest concern so far this season, with a multitude of combinations already attempted this season as a way of dealing with it.

He certainly seems to come with pedigree. He started off at West Brom with a number of successful League One loan spells, but most notably, he was a key member of the Wigan side that clinched the League One title the year before last playing in all but four of their league games.

So how's he ended up with us? Well he had a knee injury at the start of last season which required an operation and ultimately it led to him making just two appearances all season. But he's on the mend, and he's already played ninety minutes three times for the Latics this season in the League Cup and the EFL Trophy.
