Kyle Wanting A Chelsea Repeat Against Newcastle

Kyle Naughton was another one of those players that the Swans picked up in the January window and he settled quickly into life in South Wales and is now a valuable part of the squad.

It has to be a tough test for a player when they are coming in as a long term replacement for a club favourite but Naughton is now the man in possession and it is up to Angel Rangel to prove that he can find the form that could replace the former Spurs defender.

Naughton seems a snip now at just £5m when you look at the performances that he puts in and with a potentially dangerous partnership developing between him and Andre Ayew it looks like we have the next generation of the Swans right hand side already in position.

Naughton was, as was everyone else, simply brilliant at Chelsea last weekend and as we wait for the visit of Newcastle to the Liberty this Saturday then he knows he wants to see his team mates produce the same again and if they manage that then it should be a three points that will give the Swans a nice league position come tomorrow night

"When you play so well in a game like we did last week against Chelsea, it’s hugely important that you carry that performance into the next game,” said the right-back.

"It’s no good playing so well one week and not turning up in the next game. It’s important that we build from the performance and result at Chelsea and take it into Saturday’s game against Newcastle.

"This weekend is another big game for us, and it’s great to be back at the Liberty playing in front of our fans.

"With their support pushing us on, hopefully we can pick up our first win of the season and build momentum.”

Swansea City turn the tables on their bad luck & beat Derby
I am going to make no apologies for this match report. The win was deserved, but how it came about after so many poor performances in the second half I will never know. I haven’t been watching football as long as some and I am delighted of course the Swans got the points. However, we have seen teams do that to us for a few seasons. Just maybe for once it was our turn ?
