Newcatle Striker Targets More Liberty Goals
Papiss Cisse seems to like playing at the Liberty Stadium as it has been the venue for four of his thirty-five goals for Newcastle at the ground and he is targeting more this Saturday as the two sides clash.
Cisse scored twice last season in a 2-2 draw at the Liberty and is closing in on a place in the top six all time scorers for Newcastle in the Premier League.
I am not quite sure what to make of that fact when you consider than 35 goals is not a huge tally given the fact that Newcastle have been in the Premier League virtually every year since it started but stats are stats and facts are facts and this is another one.
The Swans will do well to watch him though on Saturday as you do find that some players just seem to perform well at certain grounds or against certain teams and with four goals against the Swans to his name you just know that a fifth is certainly in his sights for Saturday.
Cisse told the Chronicle: "Swansea isn’t an easy stadium and can be hard. But every time I have had a chance to score there. I hope this time I can add to that. If I get chances I want to be in the right place again.”
Newcastle will arrive in Swansea on the back of last weekend's 2-2 draw with Southampton that started their season but they will go into the game as underdogs with the Swans odds on for a win with most bookies.
The form of Ashley Williams and Federico Fernandez means that Cisse will have to be on top form to get the chances to score but I would be confident that this time he will return empty handed
