It was probably one of our closest contested polls of all time on the site but eventually by the smallest of margins, Swans fans have said that it should be Jonjo Shelvey that gets the nod in the season opener at Chelsea tomorrow.
We are working on the assumption that it does come down to a choice between the two players for the first game of the season especially given the fact that both players were given 45 minutes in the last pre-season game against Deportivo La Coruna last weekend.
There is the chance that both players could feature at Stamford Bridge but it does look unlikely that they will both be in action at the outset.
Shelvey did have the better game last Saturday over the two and that could be enough to see him get the nod but it is the question that is causing one of the stronger debates of the week and it will be hugely interesting to see what Garry does on this front when he hands his team sheet in on Saturday.
Would You Pick Jonjo Shelvey or Gylfi Sigurdsson Against Chelsea?
