Nottingham Forest Winger In Swans Link

It has been one of those summers where the Swans have been linked with plenty of moves for players and today is no different with the latest rumour linking us with a move for Nottingham Forest winger Michail Antonio.

Antonio is much in demand at this point in time with reported interest being shown by Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Norwich with West Brom reported as having made an enquiry for the winger who is rumoured to be valued at £1.5m

Antonio joined Forest last summer from Sheffield Wednesday for the sum of £1.5m and it is widely reported that it will take a sum significantly in excess of that money to make Forest want to sell the player.

This is an interesting one as I cannot at first glance see any truth in this but then you consider that Norwich are reported to be wanting Nathan Dyer and a sale there could well force the Swans into the market for a new winger and I believe that Antonio would fit the bill for the kind of player that we want.

That said, Dyer has gone to Germany with the Swans on their pre-season tour and that suggests that there are no immediate plans to sell him and, if that is the case, then a move for Antonio would be extremely unlikely.

This one for me therefore depends on any player movement that we may see out of the club but given the squad we have currently then it will not progress beyond a rumour. Any movement on that squad and things could easily change.
