If You Were Garry - Southampton (Home)

Southampton at home is next up for the Swans and it is 3rd against 4th in the Premier League which was probably not was expected by the experts this time around with both teams under new management this season.

And of course with a new game comes a new team selection and we know that Garry will have at least one change forced on him this time around thanks to the absence of Jordi Amat. Amat as been excellent so far this season but with him ruled out until the end of October it is now time for Federico Fernandez to stake his claim for a permanent starting place in the team. Long term the pairing may end up being Amat and Fernandez but for now the two of them compete for a place alongside Ashley WIlliams so it is over to you Fed. Completing the back four will of course be Angel Rangel and Neil Taylor whilst the excellent Luasz Fabianski s the first name on the team sheet and not just because of his squad number!

In midfield, we are light on real options so it is pretty safe bet to say that Ki, Shelvey and Gylfi will retain their places but the good news for us is that all three are on form so there is no sadness in that selection.

Currently it is the forward places where we have all our options. Out wide tomorrow we can select between Wayne Routledge, Nathan Dyer, Jefferson Montero and now the fit again Marvin Emnes. Routs and Nath are the two in possession and that will not change tomorrow as both will retain their places in the starting line up.

Up front last week we saw the league debut for Bafetimbi Gomis against Chelsea after Wilf's international exploits but I don't see that arrangement continuing tomorrow and Wilf will be back in as he goes back on the hunt of his first goal of the season.

The good thing about being a team in form is that team selections appear to be easier to make so our view of tomorrow's line up is this:-
