Fab's Your Man Again
Lucasz Fabianski took his second man of the match award of the season in Saturday's 4-2 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after he ended up the top rated Swans player on an afternoon where our 100% record disappeared for the season.
Despite being beaten four times - including a Diego Costa hat trick - Fabianski secured enough ratings to be the Swans man of the match although he was a long way behind the actual highest rated player who was, not surprisingly, Costa.
Fabianski rated 6.5 on average from everyone who cast votes after the game which just gave him the edge over Jonjo Shelvey (6.3) and Ki Sung-Yeung and Bafetimbi Gomis who both rated at 6.2.
On the other side though there was an average rating of 9.0 for Costa who found himself clear of Cesc Fabregas (7.9) as Chelsea maintained their own 100% start to the season and dropped the Swans down to 3rd in the Premier League table.
Fabianski was also awarded a man of the match award against Burnley at the Liberty and in fairness played very well on Saturday to command his area and keep the score down a little where he was completely powerless to stop any of the four goals.
