Whatever Happened To... Mick Stockwell

Stockwell retired from professional football at the end of the 2002-03 season, aged 38, having made 146 appearances for the U's over three seasons, scoring 24 goals.

Following his retirement he signed for Heybridge Swifts as a player-coach, but quit after a few months and joined Woodbridge Town in September 2003. He later took over the managerial reins at Woodbridge in May 2004 and spent three seasons in charge, resigning in November 2007 because of the clubs financial situation.

Away from football, he has done some radio work for SGR/Heart FM as a summariser for Ipswich Town games and has his own business, Mick Stockwell Fitting Services, fitting kitchens, bathrooms and the like.

Clubs since leaving the U's: Heybridge Swifts, Woodbridge Town.

Swans v Owls : Darling gifts the points to Sheffield Wednesday
Whatever it was that made head coach, Luke Williams choose his starting eleven against Sheffield Wednesday it was clear to many it wasn’t going to work. Overall this was a very poor display yet again by the Swans as all the hope from Sunday disappeared into nothing. This Swansea side is simply not being equipped enough to win Championship football matches.
