Surely it is time to say goodbye to Ward Prowse? He has become a liability and one can only hope that Pellegrino has the bottle to stand up to Les or whoever it is that has Ward Prowse's back.

Wolves deserved the win. Wasted chances again. Lone striker does not produce goals.

4 2 3 1 formation leaves Gabbiadini to score on Saturday - not the right balance.

Match didn't really get started did it.

I genuinely think that we would have performed better without Jan Bednarek. I'm not saying another player...basically we would have been better if he got sent off and we where playing with 10 men. There is obviously a chance that he will develop, but on that showing we have just thrown £6m (plus wages) down the drain

McQueen had a good go, Austin ran around a lot and It was sad but encouraging to see Stephens as frustrated with our negativity as everyone else.

We rarely threatened in the second half, content to pass it sideways around the half way line in a very Puelesque performance. Once the subs were made with 10-15 mins to go, we did at least try, but all too little to late and then once we got hit on the counter, it was game over.

FF - needs to control his box and defence, then stop ball watching
Pied - Can't pass, tackle, defend or cross
McQ - did alright, especially in the attack, but lacked the final ball
Jack - Average in defence, unlucky not to score
Bed - early issues seemed to get iron out, but goes to ground too often - back to U23s
Yosh - swept up well for early Pied and Bed errors but got turned by championship attackers all too easily. Unlucky with a well saved header.
Rom - ok but never took control like you would expect - booked
JWP - Far too negative, even when chasing the game. Gave possession away too often, creating all sorts of problems for us. Expect so much more from an England International who should be trying to impress after being dropped last weekend.
Bouf - Why was he even on the pitch? Not interested for 1st 25 mins, poor passing, drifting inside too often leaving McQ with no option down the line. Should have gone off far earlier.
Tad - frustrating performance again. Missed a 1-on-1 and a far post shot in the first half and failed to deliver when we were chasing the game.
Austin - huffed and puffed with not a lot to show for it. Not many decent balls for him to thrive on. Looked slower, despite his pre-match comments.
Sub Red - should have been on earlier. 1 decent shot just wide at the end
Sub Long - Needed more than 10 mins to do something
Sub Gabb - Got involved well, but couldn't really create a decent chance

This reminded me a little of life under Puel, or perhaps the Sheff Utd away performance under Koeman. Perhaps the manager will now know for sure (after Augsberg and Wolves) that our reserves (and some first teamers) are not really up to it and that another goal conceded from a set piece shows that we need more quality and leadership in defence. At least normal service at St Marys has been resumed - Southampton NIL !!
On to Huddersfield then - will be up in Yorkshire for it, so hope it won't be as lacklustre as tonight !!

Absolute and utter shite. How we can call ourselves a challenging Premier League club is beyond words. There is a rot at Saints and it needs to be sorted. If there is going to be any sense out of what's left of this window, then it should be to get a decent goalkeeper in. Forster is just not up to it. I would be very surprised if he gets an England call up. The fact that he never got a game in the last internationals says it all.

Message for Nick. Could you please possibly arrange for minus scores, to a max of -5, be available for Prowse, Forster and Benarek?

The manager, whoever that is, can only play with the dross that Reed allows him. If you blame the manager all the time, you have not addressed the root cause. If you want change, it has to start with Reed and Kreuger.

Maybe I need to stop going to away games. Been to Pompey, Shrewsbury and Stoke and missed Mansfield!

Nick, Can we have a box to rate the manager's performance? Please ensure we can vote as low as minus 5
