Nygaard's St Patrick's Day miracle - History
at 18:43 10 Jan 2025

Got some good mates in Copenhagen who were amazed when Nygaard signed for us and still talk about this game and goal.

They’re proud of Andersen now and hopefully Madsen soon.

Good lads the Danes, definitely a lot of love for QPR out there

But then so is Jimmy as we know.

Let’s buy McGuinness and have both of them and we won’t have to bother with anything else! Bingo

New Year transfer window rumours
at 12:02 8 Jan 2025

If he plays like he did last season, he's going to be a great signing for someone.

I agree I think we need to move on, we've got enough in central midfield now and other areas need sorting more urgently (not something I would have said two months ago mind you)

If Chair plays tomorrow...

Always found it interesting that Matthew Rose was always a “Matthew”, never Matt or Matty. Must be unique in recent football

Amazing he made 250 appearances, just unfortunate for him it was when we were totally crap.

Has he had the Forever Rs treatment, sounds like he deserves it on that basis? Plus remember an amazing last minute winner against Brighton away when they played on that sports centre ground. How things change in 20 years

Rs Vs Lootown Hatters Match Thread

Going for Jimmy Dunne to score and a win after banking a rare bet twice at great odds and then bottling it against Watford

If it comes in again then a campaign to have a statue will shortly follow

best london derby qpr you've seen.....home and away.

Personal special one for me was coming back from being abroad for a long time in 1993 and going to West Ham for my first game back see us beat them 4-0 with Les running rampant

Let's put this to bed...
at 00:31 3 Jan 2025

Got to think of Smyth as a defender as well as an attacker in the team and in that role he’s been outstanding - his engine is unbelievable

That slide tackle against the Watford sub that led to him moaning about it was wonderful

A QPR team with an Irish spine is always good news and Jimmy Dunne and Paul Smyth are bringing it back

100%.

If we’re loaning someone in at centre back we need a Ryan Nelsen / Steve Cook wizened old pro, no point taking a gamble on another kid who’ll just walk away in the summer anyway.

What’s Chris Mepham up to these days?

Or we need to start training Field to play more games at centre back, he’s looked good there

I’m in the same boat with my two - they’ve seen some right dross in their first few games. Thank God for Jimmy Dunne and the Preston game which seems to have bought some more time!

Fair play - was moaning about the line up but that was a decent half.

Chair makes a big difference as we all know. Some nice one touch stuff between him, Morgan, Andersen and Kolli.

What a strange team this is. You never know what you’re going to get from one half to the next

Fkin hell.

Given Jimmy Dunne snuffed out their best player in the home game, why move him to centre back? Marti’s selections are sometimes impossible to understand

Without Cook and Morrison we suddenly look weak as piss

Christmas Games a great test
at 22:11 23 Dec 2024

I reckon the Norwich game will be tasty - they seemed a surprisingly nasty bitter team and was surprised at their lack of discipline at our’s. Shame Cook will be out it seems, his type of game, but will be a good test of our new defensive spine. Field seems to be stepping up in the shithouse stakes and I hope we batter them again.

QPR v Not Preston again Match Thread
at 02:46 22 Dec 2024

Some really great performances in that game - Smyth, Varane, Morgan - but Jimmy Dunne was fkin immense.

I think we need to come to terms with him as weird hybrid of right back and target man centre forward and credit Marti with inventing a brand new position

If the situation was reversed what do you reckon Cook would have done?

Banged it in (maybe) and not given it a second thought

Smyth.
at 21:31 21 Dec 2024

He’s been brilliant in this mini revival and deserves a lot of credit.

Yes his final ball is erratic but if it wasn’t - as the saying goes - he wouldn’t be playing for us.

But he’s just scored a goal from 50 yards to win us a point in a game where we were getting battered, he set up the crucial equaliser today and ran Preston so ragged they changed their defence at half time, his defensive work is tireless and he’s a good lad.

The option of him, Saito, Chair and Dembele running at defences for 90 mins as starters and off the bench is pretty exciting. And Smyth deserves to start on his performances right now

Not at all. Play to the whistle.

Horrible luck for Cook but as a forward you slot that in
