If he was RM, hopefully he has got the general message that most believe he has his work cut out to keep us in the Prem, but some aren't actually that bothered! |

He's very welcome with his views (respect ALL views), but we need his (assumption there) top 3 biscuits! |

It is early, and remember we went 4 defeats followed by 25 unbeaten last season, but in the Championship We've made plenty of new signings since then but other than 60 minute Lallana, where are the improvements to keep us up or are the owners looking to rely on the parachute payments predicting that we'll go straight back down again |

A bit heavy to say clueless but I can see where you are coming from. I'm really hoping you are proved correct and by Christmas we are not staring the R word at that time with some inevitability The problem is therefore, if not with Martin, with the owners and the recruitment strategy/decision makers As has been said many times, if the likes of Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth are now deemed as Premiership mainstays, where has it gone wrong for us noting where we were not that long ago We shouldn't just accept relegation as the norm when we get a promotion |

Wasn't there uproar last season when refs were told to add time on for perceived time wasting, which they did, and there was generally 10-15 minutes added to the 90! Maybe start that again although the players would winge due to the extra amount of "game time" |

There'sbeen a lot of fuss about Trossard and Rice the other week being "sent off" for kicking the ball away. No they weren't, they were "booked" for doing so The fact that they'd both been booked earlier resulted in the sending off so both were basically a couple of tvvats knowing the rules Take it for a first offence if it helps (gamesmanship I think it's called!), but don't do it when you've already been booked! But why wasn't the City player booked earlier in the game for the same offence And as for time wasting, well as I said in a post yesterday it stinks and ruins the game, but they all do it when it suits and until it's stamped on they will all carry on doing it |

Exactly. First half was what we wanted and expected, but 2nd was what you'd get when a 2nd div team plays a top side Arsenal therefore got what they deserved in the end but would have been praised to the hilt if they had have held on. |

Well they had to concede in the end after that haf |

Anyone watching this? Talk about trying to defend a lead! Arsenal have hardly got beyond the edge of the 18yd box playing with 10 men Ok, it's worked til now, but you'd have thought the top 2 teams in the country would put on a better show than this |

Best performance so far and valid points, but we were saying re the substitutions, they all seemed to have been decided on before the game even started Lala ok, he won't last the 90 mins which is a shame, but none were made to try and win the game or to stamp out any threat that Ipswich may present. They certainly didn't improve the situation |

He was the voice (journalist!) for Saints back in the day in the rush to get the Football Echo on a Saturday evening! |

I feel no SHAME as you like to emphasise that. You have your opinions which i fully respect, I have mine which you clearly do not. Yes, I see Starmer as a two faced liar who got the gig based on the mess we were in which was down a lot due to the cost of Covid and I'm sure the Ukraine situation. We also had Farage putting his utopian dream in to the equation and has now buggered off to the States with his mate Trump But it is what it is and bad times ahead as it would have been with either party in the chair, unless you're a train driver of course Such a shame threads such as these (on a football forum!) end up in effect with name calling Time for a group hug! |

Post of the day Southamptonfan! I am in that save for your pension, paid off my hefty mortgage, yes took some unemployment benefits for a short period, and paid all of my dues etc bracket, but voted blue as I just could not bring myself to trust the two faced Starmer! I'm not saying Rishi (well any of the Tories) are fully trustworthy, but they had to be better than Starmer and his crowd. It turns out they are worse than anybody expected |
