Enjoy the day Noah, let’s hope the Essex boys do well.
Although a member, Meteor way unavailable, changed to a day/ night fixture, main gate towards city centre closed and the bag police will probably be in attendance for unattended bad week.
ECB have made this fixture, better to avoid rather than attend .

Big surprise was that Austria national anthem was not , “ The hills are alive to the sound of music”.

So let’s have some alternative national anthems, starting with Proclaimers -500 miles and Plastic Bertram - pour moi .

Lincoln City have signed Tom Bayliss on a two-year deal after the midfielder was released by League One rivals Shrewsbury Town earlier in the summer.

Yes, granted not a U’s signing , but given that Smith was loaned out and not getting a game, might have some significants on his availability.

Congrats on your England U19 duties Noah.
Don’t get there too early has this is a Day/ Night fixture starting at 14-00 hrs.
Sky usually televise only U19 World Cup tournaments, but sure would be available onstream.

The U’s trained over the years at several locations, King Harold Rd, Bakers Lane, and University of Essex.
Yep some larger companies had there own, Royal London (Mill Rd ) Paxmans, (Land Lane ) Woods ( Braiswick ) and Co-op ( King Harold Rd ).

Many pitches now not available, Old Heath Recreation ground had three.

FOOTBALL pitches are decreasing across the region, sparking concerns among those who love the sport in Colchester.

Think we can all list pitches across the borough which have disappeared over the years, from the pitch in the centre of town at Lower Castle park to numerous others.
Not only the generated cash but local social activity when you consider the Colchester Sunday league was made up of local firms, some with reserve teams. It was a fathers and sons journey for some and fellow workers and friends for others. All part of Colchester’s history .

All contracted players free to leave.
Presume who and what fees could be agreed.
Obviously the Cowley’s are stuck with some players still not required, but still under contract and still trying to free up monies for future transactions. H

Harrison Chamberlain has signed his first Colchester United professional contract.
The eighteen year old has spent the past eighteen months with the U's U18s squad, but has made numerous appearances for the U21s.

If compared to another Chamberlain who wore the U’s green jersey many years ago, will have a lot to live up to, but will go far. Best wishes to him for the future.
