Sunak's Resignation Speech

Dignified and gracious, particularly his remarks about Starmer.

Jeremy Hunt. And maybe he will stick around a bit longer than the previous 4.

Yes, I noticed the background paraphernalia. Perhaps he put back the portraits of the Sex Pistols after the cameras departed.

On a serious note JON was quite right to point out the poor turn-out. That is concerning as it seems to suggest a lack of engagement by the various parties with the electorate.

At your most eloquent!

I'm sure Rees Mogg won't be needing to use his local food bank, assuming they have one near his pile.

Interestingly Drakeford was on BBC Wales last night. He was talking about the relationship between the Welsh and UK Governments over the years. He stated that when Tata announced the closure of the blast furnaces at Port Talbot he, as First Minister, tried to call Sunak, as Prime Minister, but the latter did not bother to return his call. That says it all about how much a Conservative Government cares about Wales.

Do you mean 'dickheads'?
Anyway, I agree with you.
Hardly anyone in my area, a blanket 20mph, complies but there has not been any increase in accidents and no-one seems to feel any less safe. It's the dickheads doing in excess of 30mph etc who are the danger. The school run seems the most dangerous time.

It could, even should, be more enjoyable than 1997. That was pretty spectacular.

So, another MS twitters himself!
It makes you wonder about the quality of our elected representative in the Senedd. And we're going to have more of them.
Something to look forward to at our expense.

Jerry Yates loan away from Swansea gets closer

An excellent move for him, the Club and us supporters.

Difficult to understand, though, how much interest there has been from other Clubs. Perhaps they believe they can get more out of him than the Swans coaching staff. Unless there is an element of desperation on their part.

I am very sorry to hear of this.
20+ years ago I raised money for what was then the Brain Tumour Society in memory of an 18 year old who was stricken with this pernicious illness and died far too young.
I may be wrong but it seems to disproportionally affect young people.
I sincerely hope that the Charity this Forum supports is not affected by the actions/words of a few numpties.
I enjoy visiting the site and making what I hope is a positive contribution and long may it continue.

Yes it does engage in charitable activities. So do many other, less sinister, organisations.
It's existence amongst professional people, people in positions of power, like politicians, members of the judiciary, and police officers is counter to the public interest.
It should be proscribed.

Now there's a topic for discussion.
An insidious organisation.

We should not forget, though, that previous unlawful demonstrations that have alienated the general public have had some success in their outcomes. I am not advocating such action but the suffragettes and the anti apartheid demonstrations of the late 60s, early 70s, come to mind.

Now a second Conservative Party candidate is being 'looked at'.
I also don't understand how the Police Officer has been arrested but the candidates not. As I understand it they have all committed criminal offences.

Great ... and pave the way for the return of Boris!
Whatever you think of him, at least he has a bit of integrity.
