RE "However Fulham’s Craven Cottage ground is bigger than Loftus Road, and their support level is traditionally lower than ours". I'm not sure you can say that Fulham's support is traditionally lower - I've been having this debate with a Fulham supporter who confirmed my initial thoughts that through history they have had a larger average gate. They've had more than 40 40k+crowds, albeit years ago. When they were languishing on the lower divisions (and Rangers had an excellent side) they lost 1, possibly 2 generations of supporters and it's taken them a long time to get them back. They've now had 10 years in the Premier League and a lot of their younger supporters know no different. That is where QPR need to be careful - cannot afford to allienate supporters and the younger ones who are the supporters of tomorrow. I have a nasty feeling that the loss of Bhatia and Saksena will have a massive ripple effect and not a good one. |
