Up against Man City in the FFS that was offside FA Cup. I prepare to stand corrected but I think Charlie is still our player but as I take as much interest in modern football players contracts and transfers as I do in mobile phone contracts I could be wrong. Either way seems like a good lad and having a decent season with a club I like so up the O’s!
Up against a central defender today in Ruben Dias who’s worth approx £75 mil … would love to see Charlie meg him.

If you didn’t know the name and heard we were in for a youngish striker from a promotion chasing team in the division below who’d scored a dozen goals I’m sure most of us would be delighted. I say give him a chance in preseason and let Marti have a good look at him. If he’s still not fancied it seems like we’d be able to sell him on for a few quid.
Yes and in this case, he is already our player and we have extended his contract more than once, in the belief that he will come good and has been deemed by many at the club that he is the best finisher. So now after finally realising his promise and coming good would the club let him go. The question is, one of Kolli and Lloyd would need to be sent out on loan next season otherwise none of three will get enough game time, and this is where the club need to think carefully and act wisely.

Sounds to me like Martí plans to run his eye over him through the summer and then it’ll be down to the management team and board (and the player to a degree as it would seem a win-win for Charlie) to work out the best value option for the club. I’m sure Martí will want to see how, as a 23 year old, he measures up to Kolli and Lloyd (let alone Celar and Frey). Always good to have the opportunity and choice from the clubs perspective though.

I think Cifuentes has already had plenty of time to assess Kelman and wasn’t impressed hence the very limited playing time and season long loan. However Kelman has done alright (but not blown away most of Orient’s fans when you read their forums) so it’s sensible for us to assess him again in the summer.

"deemed by many at the club that he is the best finisher"
I've only ever seen this attributed to a one-time and probably off the cuff remark by Warburton. Happy to be proved wrong, otherwise we should probably acknowledge the repeated decision making over years that's put Kelman a long way down the strikers' pecking order.

Let's hope he carries on and we can get a decent fee for him in the summer with a sell on clause
He won't be ours to sell unless we offer him a new deal first. If we are comfortably mid-table with a few games left, maybe we could take him back early to have a look at him?

Can't do that. Any loan recalls have to be done in the transfer window.

I was under the impression he signed more than a 1 year deal otherwise what was the point just giving him a 1 year deal and then loaning him out for a season

Well kudos to Charlie if he has upped his game, obviously a late developer, hidden talent, that's why we sent him to Latent Orient I suppose😉
Jamie Vardy was a late developer and more recently, but to a lesser extent, Carlton Morris
Also, if Kelman was given a 1 year contract and then sent out on loan, that wouldn't make sense, so perhaps he was given a 1 + 1 year option. o
If there is an option on his deal, i would perhaps give him a pre season and the early season games to see if he can play in the Championship. He certainly can't be worse than Celar was prior to the Cardiff game.

I presume MC & his team has already assessed him and decided he is not good enough, hence why he is at Orient. I would be most shocked if we offer him another contract.

How many more times do you want to 'have a look at him'!!!!!

He has had enough chances, he is not Championship standard. How many more times are we going to 'give him a chance'???

Not sure we can keep waiting on someone coming good in this critical position.
If we just tie up existing contracts we’ve got the bulk of a team that can aim at top six, otherwise all concentration should be on a CF who’s proven at this level otherwise it’ll unravel again.

Good, we may get £50k for him!!!!
I think as of this moment he is worth considerably more than that. I hope he carries on scoring till the end of the season. The value should be assessed then. Marti says that other clubs are enquiring about him.

Watched the highlights, the comments on the YouTube video are full of praise for Ethan Galbraith, he made 3 assists in the game.
His 2nd and 3rd assist are very good.
And a highlights package:
His contract is up this summer but the club has an option for a further 12 months. Only 23. We seem to have a good relationship with Orient given the loans we send there. We're quite stacked in his position but maybe he's worth taking a look at.
