On a Facebook page a fan has challenged a newspaper story that he will join City on a free, another fan claims City have paid a fee and loaned him back to us, and a club employee specifically responds to the latter with "Not true".
There was nothing asked in Kwadwo's recent interview @ Dale but love the way they've silenced the bit out where he starts to talk about something at Palace. You've got to love the young man; thought he came over very well indeed.
Myself and other journalists were told City paid us a fee (instead of compensation) and negotiated a pre-contract deal with Baah, who even had a medical at City. Where this currently stands is unclear.
Think the club need to let us know what’s going on here if an employee is going to post stuff like that. Then again we all know club staff have a free reign to post what they like on social media with no repercussions don’t we?
In posting "Not true" it's regarding the details of the post to which it's replying
One detail is regarding a fee having been paid. Speculative, but if the fee doesn't arrive until after Baah leaves Dale for City, then technically it's "Not true"

Irrespective of that, we've seen accurate, honest and factual reporting slapped down on social media when it's put up by a long standing and professionally competent supporter, so a "Not true" comment on a Facebook page by a club employee, responding in full to the poster asserting details of the deal should be acted upon by the employer.
It is, in effect, disclosing confidential information about the business that may be detrimental to its' best interests.

It certainly is. I don't follow the Facebook page in question (all items of major interest get reported on here!) but there's nothing to stop the club sanctioning a disinformation campaign either - which it may feel is in it's best interests right now, especially regarding City's known sensitivities

Now come on. There's been disinformation exuding out of the place since 2015.
It's somewhat duplicitous to sanction a campaign against excellent reporting based on facts, not speculation, whilst an employee can chuck assured comments around on social media without the intelligence to appear to be part of a disinformation media strategy. It's all look at me.
