The Tory giveaway budget. 09:04 - Oct 30 with 11648 views | pikeypaul | Great to see the Tories reward the people with huge tax cuts and pumping extra £10s of billions in to the NHS. I thought Steptoe was going to burst into tears with his response knowing he could never compete with the tax cuts the Tories are handing out. The lefties here have not said a dicky bird since the budget which tells us everything we need to know. Although I expect the jealous fackers will be along shortly.

To be honest though, I would rather they have spent the money on the NHS which is in a mess - huge waiting lists, cant get an ambulance, 6 hours wait at A and E and Mental Health Services in crisis. Saying that I think they do know it but would welcome it with them wanting poverty for all not just the few. Total politics of envy and an attitude if we are poor everyone else should be also. The Tory giveaway budget. on 13:23 - Oct 30 by LeonWasGod | Their plans may do, but plenty of economists think otherwise. It's a pretty good myth perpetuated by the Tories and certain elements of the media that Labour 'always bankrupt the country'. It's wrong apparently. The data actually show that Labour have controlled public finances better than the Tories. But nobody will believe that even when shown the evidence. It looks like the Tories have done a wonderful propaganda job on Labour. Stitched them up good and proper. |
Getting their propaganda out there is easy when they've got almost all the national newspapers (if you can call them that) on their side. And people keep buying The Sun, The Daily Mail, Express and so on and actually believe what's written in them.

The Tory giveaway budget. on 14:00 - Oct 30 by Catullus | Corbyn is sound? His momentum dogs of war hound anyone and everyone who don't agree with him. He's been embroiled in accustaions of anti semtism and friends to terrorist groups, his financial plans are a mess...McDonnell says they're costed but his usual answer is they are cash neutral as in they'll pay for themselves and that parliament will set the purchase costs for renationalised industries, basically he's saying we will force people to sell at prices we set, it's telling people he's going to rob them! Several allegedly independent groups have said it'll cost billions and one set the bar at 176 billion plus 11 billion a year just in interest repayments. We had boom and a huge bust with Blair and Brown, would anyone vote for that again? We need a viable alternative to the tories not an unreconstructed Marxist with dreams that will be nightmares to the rest of us. Corbyn is a proven liar (well he is a politician) but he's taken a leaf out of Hitler and Goebbels book, the one that says the bigger the lie the easier it is to convince people it's true. I watched McDonnell on the 'Andrew marr show' and I've seen Corbyn on it too. Thing is, Corbyn supporters always call these things lies, it's like when Jezza sat on the floor of a train for a photo op about there being no seats but got caught out badly. When you say educate myself politicaly, please do put me right, enlighten me, come on, because from where I stand Corbyn is the reason I can't vote Labour (well him, McD, Abbot, Lord Starmer, Lady Nugee....Lammy, Umunna and others) or maybe you mean to say I should just about turn and support Corbyn.

Politics definitely not my thing mate. Can't think of anything more annoying and despicable to watch/talk about/be involved in. What I can see however, is that Corbyn is different. He's a sound guy. One that actually cares. Something I have never seen before in Politics. That's what does it for me. I'm just a normal guy who would rather vote for a person who cares about me and my family, over someone who wants to fuk me (and the world) over in order to line theirs and their mate's pockets.

Not many on this board will fail to see the irony in you commenting on others' 'knowledge and understanding' paul. Top bit of self awareness there. Interesting title of the OP too. Tory giveaway. That has always been their modus operandi. Give away for as little as possible into private hands what has been paid for via the public purse. How they still get away with their scam is testament to the media and how dumbed down we've collectively become. Astonishing.

The Tory giveaway budget. on 22:00 - Oct 30 by pikeypaul | To bankrupt the country maybe. And that's the reason why despite Brexit the tories are still 5 points ahead in the opinion polls. Any other opposition would be miles ahead yet Labour are still way behind. And Theresa is about 20 points ahead of Corbyn. Corbyns response speech sounded like he was about to burst into tears knowing he has not got a chance in any future GE with the Tories now prepared to cut income tax and splash the cash on the NHS. [Post edited 30 Oct 2018 22:04]

Splashing the cash? What they are prepared to offer doesn't come close to what they've already cut. The only reason the Tories may be ahead by any margin, is because they have the whole of the MSM peddling their lies. The only reason anyone could vote Conservative after the last five years is if their uninformed and unprepared to check facts for themselves (stupid) or their just a complete c@nt. What, the Guardian and Independent spout Tory lies? Not so as I'd noticed. Sums it up I guess that you had to post such a blatant lie. There is plenty of media that supports Corbyn. Also, because you don't like something doesn't make it a lie. I've fact checked a lot in the last few years, fullfact is a great place. Only because Labour left a record £160 BILLION annual deficit in their last year of offices as they plunged the economy into recession. The evil tories have slowly reduced that year by year as well as creating 3,000,000 extra jobs.

You can follow the Momentum line and name call wjilst slating anything you don't like as lies, or you could debate it and present facts to back up your argument. Persist in denial and insults and all you do is look daft. So come on, you can be bothered to answer others so tell me, where am I going wrong? Did Corbyn not promise to wipe out ALL student debt then backtrack, did he not lie about not having a seat on a train, has he not invited terrorist sympathisers to Westminster? I agree with him about Nukes, just get rid and I'm basically all for renationalised industry just not the way him and McDonnell are planning it. Labour may have (historically) handled public finances better but Blair's time left a massive hole that needed plugging and borrowing was always going to rise until that deficit was brought down. If Corbyn is such a sound bloke, if he is the answer, how come he's falling further behind such a totally useless bunch of Tories? PS, this was a Tory giveaway budget. People fall for it when you put a bit of cash back in their pockets. You'd think a General Election was close. If Raab is right and an EU exit deal is close it'll be a double whammy for Corbyn. If it becomes no deal it'll be a nightmare for Hammond and May as the budget is rewritten and the give aways clawed back, with interest!
