Same as me. Resting pulse averages about 54 (shoots up to 140 when I'm doing HIITs).
I eat healthily (except slightly too much bourbon), but I'm 20lbs overweight and can't shift it. |  |

When you say "hammering the exercise" do you mean you've been going out and getting on it, again. You can dress it up how you like it mate but that's a midlife crisis.

Another 53 year old. I entered my 50s in good shape after taking up boxing but within 3 months my knee gave out, my old fitness routines went out of the window when the operation wasn't a success and I piled on the weight as I felt sorry for myself. I've finally reconciled myself to walking, cycling and finally dieting. Feeling good about my body for the first time in a while, but more importantly, don't give a monkey's about what anyone else thinks. |  | | |
