Of course he does, but there is nothing wrong with saying he didn't deserve applause for being sent off. It's objective. I like to read those kind of posts because they're reasonable and are preferable to happy clapping or those detailing people staying in a pub because of names on a team sheet.

Bradford thread: Morley starts! on 17:42 - Nov 12 by 442Dale | Canavan needs an extended break now. His defending aside from the sending offs hasn't been good enough anyway. Even Keane is looking less effective when it comes to defending inside the box, his overall reading of the game is still good but we've looked panicky in our own penalty area again. At the moment we are going through natural cycles at the back: McGahey started the season well then lost his place after a couple of shaky displays. Canavan played himself into form and now looks poor (the goals at Coventry and Maidstone for example). I'm not sure what our best back four is now, but would try McGahey and McNulty in the centre again as both were good against Fleetwood in our first win and haven't played in the league together again since I don't think. This would allow Keane to go back into marshalling things in front of the back four, also eliminating the need for him to defend as much in his own box. He's been excellent at CH, but isn't right now, so try something new. With a small squad, we have to. For anyone who thought Calvin's ban was worthy of a song, it's worth considering the pressure he's put on his team because of his prolonged absence. Now we've seen the contents of the FA report, how long before we hear from the player? Hopefully what he says will ensure we don't make light of his actions as supporters, because not having him available is costing us. |
Re "For anyone who thought Calvin's ban was worthy of a song", it isn't just what you say, but also that the song makes it sound as if they are happy with what he did. Apart from the ones who were singing it, I'm sure there is unanimity in condemning his action. [Post edited 13 Nov 2016 0:57]

Bradford thread: Morley starts! on 16:21 - Nov 12 by yorkshirefan | How people can clap Canavan off as he leaves the field just astounds me. Now left with nobody to mark Hanson this could be a cricket score |
An Australian one? | |

Bradford thread: Morley starts! on 21:23 - Nov 12 by firgrovedale51 | Agreed about the young midfield Camps and Cannon run their socks off . Maybe Canavans decision making was not at its best but he is still a Dale played and as such should be supported (in my eyes) |
Even when he has got himself sent off again? It's not just giving Bradford even more of an advantage today, it's left the squad even more depleted for the next two games.

Bradford thread: Morley starts! on 09:40 - Nov 13 with 1181 views | Daley_Lama | I think that Canavan's first yellow was his first foul. At half time Hanson had totted up 5 fouls on Keane, a failed penalty claim and whinge, a blatant shove on Joe Rafferty when their fans got all uppity about a throw in. I'm not saying the ref shouldn't have booked Cansvan or even having a go at Mmm Bop, yet i somehow still felt the big goon was getting away with moider throughout the game.

Canavan's first booking was a blatant yellow, regardless of how many fouls he had or hadn't totted up. You might be right about Hanson, but that's not the point. [Post edited 13 Nov 2016 10:02]

I wasn't actually trying to make a point, was merely musing about Mmm Bop really. Had a pooh view of Canavan's foul.
