Awful draw. Very unlikely to win and no decent money from the draw, as can't see it being on tele-hope I am wrong.
I wouldn't be so sure about the 'very unlikely' part of that.
They struggled against Accrington on Tuesday and you have to remember we're only one division apart.
I know they were in the Premier League last year, but we've beaten QPR and run Birmingham close in recent years, so it's not as unwinnable as you might think, in my opinion.
When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
Not a great draw, admittedly, but a chance for our squad to test themselves against players that were competing in the premiership just a few months ago, and it's a free hit with an outside chance of winning through

Certainly not unwinnable but a very unattractive tie nonetheless, especially it being away.
Barnsley, as much as it pains me to say it, have the tie of the round against Everton.

Yes thinking about it I see your point. I kind of forgot their problems in defeating Accrington, and just how good we can be. Can see us winning, just be difficult, but the rest I will stand by.
If it was a Saturday FA cup match, then yes we would take a lot over, but a midweek game will not see a lot of Dale fans going over, at least not enough to make it a good pay out for the coffers.

Yes you are right. Nothing to lose, but plenty to possibly gain.
Bradford at Oakwell on the 22nd, Everton at Oakwell midweek, Rochdale away on the 29th. Carlsberg do football weeks.
Shame Everton are already on Sky on the 23rd and 29th otherwise it'd have been a nice earner on TV.
Be lovely to welcome Stonesy home. Even though he still lives here, and attends every game he can. And with Holgate going there, adds to the spice.
Even though Everton are on Sky I cant see them not showing this game - definitely tie of the round with your recent sales to them. Can see Hilly resting a few of ours with the Barnsley league game a few days later.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
Notts play Villa away so that's us in the next round,i didn't like the way that it was drawn to be honest,i much prefer it with everyone being in the bag and you don't know if you are home or away until your number gets drawn out,to see that you are home or away before a number has even been pulled out of the bag just spoilt it for me...

My mates a hull season ticket holder and there cup games are automatically included therefore there will be at least 16,000 there granted they all turn up

If that's the case it could put a few quid in the pot, it will be interesting to see how Hull City work out the financial figures bearing in mind entrance is incorporated in the Season Ticket.
