Could Warburton as DOF/CEO and Cifuentes as Head Coach work? The dream scenario is that Warbs has always appeared financially switched-on in the football world and he appears to have a similar style-of-play outlook to Marti/Zavi. There could be a clash of strong driven personalities perhaps (but look at us now!).

This. To me, it was Spurs/Arsenal in the North, Rangers in the West, West Ham in the East. And all the others floating around. Remember that from the mid70s to the mid90s, Fulham, Brentford, Palace (give or take), Reading, Charlton were pretty much nowhere whilst Luton and Watford weren't established in the top flight for that long.
I know our club has made many mistakes in recent times, but we really need 2 or 3 of those to fail a bit now as was the case before. Really unlucky that everyone in our vicinity (Fakes excepted) has their house relatively in order. |

Well done Rangers, that's got to be a morale-boost on some level somewhere.
We need to be transferred to the Premier League - we'd be fine on the road there, it seems. 5 pts out of 9 at the 3 relegated and monied teams. [Post edited 26 Oct 17:40]

Nourry as CEO, Warbs returns as DOF, Cifuentes/Calm remain in post? Or maybe not. I could think of much much worse scenarios (the present). Warbs + Marti - similar-ish footballing outlooks? A thought anyway. [Post edited 21 Oct 20:42]

Wouldn't want to party-poop in any way but I'm guessing Illias won't actually come on? But his name on the bench is obviously a massive boost to all concerned - which is probably the real aim. |
