Anyone notice that Walsh, Salamon have not made the subs bench for the last 2 games. are they more injurys we shouldnt know about?
If Nardi gets injured our back up keeper is a lad that has played 5 reserve games from Wycombe Wanderas and who lived close enough to the M1 to jump onto the team bus for the burnley game
Apart from the great European nights we had in 76, this game has lived at the back of my memory since the night I saw it but have never been able to view again, until now.
31/01/78 FA Cup 4rd replay under the lights at LOftus Road V WEst Ham. Spam fans at both ends of the ground. A 5 goal 2nd half onslaught into the loft end.
I vividly remember Pop Robson's opener and that Martyn Busby scored 2 but could not picture any of the goals.
Don Givens equaliser in the first half. 2nd half goals from John Hollins, 2 from Buzzer, a Stanley penalty and #6 from Leighton James
So QPR make it throufh to round 5 losing out to Forest in Nottingham in a 2nd replay.
This was a time that cup competitions were truly magical
Also because attacking players bought in and those departed have meant we are short of attacking options so a player with 2 very good assists is looked upon as the Massiah or is he being a very naughty.....
*****= much loved player…….But who and what was the game?
Johnson, ***** well played to Channon ***** ITS THERE! HE LOVES THAT and Kennedy was left looking at space No wonder he’s disgusted he never even moved
Superb report as always but please expand on your train itinery to Mancherster Road and cost as I'm sure you passed more stations than we've had accurate passes in the game
So why do they keep perservering with this tactic. Surely it comes from above or they are just taking the easy option and not even attempting to progress up field. Midfield is the axis to our play and as we know as do the defence, the midfied is somewhat calamatous and timid.
We have so much possesion I often think the oppo only need to stand still and we struggle.
In training I'm sure it all works really smoothly problem is they are playing against us.
