Bournemouth start this weekend on 5 points, but they are very lucky to have those 5.
Game 1 - 1-0 down at Forest and 86th minute equaliser
Game 2 - 1-1 draw with Newcastle
Game 3- 2-0 down at Everton in the 87th minute before Everton collapsed to a 3-2 defeat
Game - 1-0 home defeat to Chelsea
Game 5 - 3-0 defeat at Liverpool.
If Everton hadn't collapsed then they would only have 2 points from this season.
One interesting fact is the number of goals they scored in their games after the 86th minute, out of the 5 they have scored 4 have been after the 86th minute, so they keep going.

History will record that Ralph did a difficult job under even more difficult circumstances, he was the longest serving manager in 30 years and he kept us in mid table having to work with almost no money for transfers coming in.
By the time that the owners changed he was shell shocked.
But he still oversaw the arrival of the likes of Lavia etc and if it hadn't been for injury things could have been a lot different.
Our problems began when the then CEO made some poor decisions regarding managers and the January transfer window of 2023 which on reflection was a disaster.
It is easy to ridicule Ralph but I do not think we would have gone down if we had kept him, if only for the fact that at least he knew what he was doing compared to Jones and Selles |

Im not sure he was responsible for the actual recruitment, just the analysis side of things and providing the data.
But in defence he would have identified Livramento, Adam Armstrong, , Bella Kotchap, Lavia, Mara, , Taylor, Fernandes, Suguwara all of whom have played a part over the last 3 years and are worth a lot more than they cost
So if we balance out our recruitment over the past few years it hasn't lost money |

Lets be honest few people had a good word to say about Che Adams, especially when he hadn't scored for his first 29 games of his first season, perhaps that tells us something, that it is still early days for Archer, Brereton Diaz and all our new signings |

That is the home games for Bournemouth, there are extenuating circumstances , Bournemouth, Swansea did lose 4-0 to Bournemouth a few years back with Martin in charge, but for the 5-0 game against MK Dons played on 31st August 2021 MK Dons confirmed on the day of the game that Martin was in talks with Swansea and he was namd their manager the following day, so I am not sure if he was actually in charge for that game, although if he was I would think his and his squad would have been well aware of the situation and their heart wasn't in it |

He must be one of the most unlucky players, he has been injured whilst on loan at Blackpool, but hopefully it is not too serious.
It seems he has done his shoulder in, Blackpool manager Steve Bruce had this to say.
“Our biggest concern is Dom Ballard - we think he’s popped shoulder, which is cruel on him and us because he’s been integral to what we’ve done.
“He’ll be x-rayed and scanned so let’s hope it’s not too serious. We strapped it up to see how he got on, but it was obvious very early that he was carrying his left arm so we did the best thing and took him off.
“He was upset, which you would be. Injuries are horrible things as a footballer especially when you’re young.” |

You are right fans can help change games, but ultimately the players have to chip in too, some of Saints best victories away from home over the years have been achieved with poor away followings
Sunderland away 1980 one of Keegan's first games was achieved in front of 41,000 packed into Roker Park with about 3-400 Saints fans in part of a small terrace on the side.
