Burgers

Now that looks good.

A few years ago, me and tother half were on our way to Kenya for a holiday, and travelled to London From ooooop north to show her some of the sights in Leicester Square as she'd never been.

Hungry, we walked into a place with an out door seating area, and ordered 2 burgers and fries, a gin for her, and a Brasilian beer for me.

very nice it all was, except the bill was £59.75 ........ then i realise i'd walked into Marco Pierre Whites place by accident.

Food was scrummy though.

They used to have one on Cambridge circus around 1982, and i was mesmerised by the square patties and quick service. Burger wasnt bad either.

Thanks mate,

Want to hear something funny (in a macabre type of way that is)?

Well as i'm putting most of my weight on my right leg now, favouring the left, the right has started to 'bitch' at me and give me a little pain.

The way i'm going i might just be back for next season. lol

Feck me and the horse i rode in on

I've been waiting for 6 months to see a specialist regarding the deteriorating condition of my left leg, ever since i twisted it climbing out of an Artic.

the inner s9de of my left legstarted givng grief so i went to the doctors, possible Miniscus detachment by my knee.

Ok, no worries, he put me down for physiotherapy (i'm NHS i'm afraid), and i went on a list in March.
I got asked to see a doctor again a few months later who diagnosed torn knee cartiledge, and im back on the waiting list. Fair enough.

Subsequently, the outside of my left thigh from the knee up, goes numb. So dead in fact that you can push a pin into my thigh and i wont feel anything.

So, off to the docs again, and i get referred to a specialist.
I go in, this therapist finds loads wrong with my knee and leg and after 45 mins (as apparently thats the max time they allocate to a patient) i'm out and on my way with the promise of proper therapy....... Ok, i get a letter and e-mail...... multiple times so i dont forget to go again on Friday of this week.

And this morning i get numerous e-mails and texts and a phone call telling me the appointment is now cancelled (due to unforseen circumstances) and they will be in touch. but no idea of when.

Excuse the pun, but it's a real pain and i'm having to work (literally) with it 5 days a week.

I know others are in a worse state than me, and appreciate that,i just wanted to vent my frustration to my mates here.
Thanks
Dave

Burgers

Hi everyone,

Just popped into Maccy D's for a convenience burger and was shocked to find that their burgers are like 1mm wafers, and over all the burger and bun is around 25% smaller for the same money. in relation to the one i had last week!

Anyway, i thought a burger thread on here was needed, so i can canvas you all as to your thoughts regarding your best fast food, artisan, value burger around.

There used to be a great place in Liverpool that was an artisan place and called 'Almost famous' and had great beers, great drinks for the kids, and above all else fantastic burgers

Locations please and opinions on your favourite place

And Mo Salah is out of contract.

Maybe a cheeky £1k a week and the bright lights of Londinium might sway him from the dank, dreary, monotony of it all oooop north?

I think ,to be fair, that we all need to reflect a little in actually who is to blame.

Ladies and gentlemen, i give you Marti Cifuentes
You see, that surely, as a manager, he should choose the team, and tell Nourry who he wants for the team, and why. To not say 'sod off, i want the players i want so go out and get them for me'. To not do so shows to me that he hasnt stood on his 'principals' in this matter.

He should have told Nourry right away that the team and recruitment is his and his alone.
But this obviously didnt happen as someone 'cowtowed' to Nourry, and it seems like everyone in suits did.

I've wondered all season why we are playing someone elses team, why we let a fitness guy literally phone in his fitness instructions to the training ground?

I dont think anyone stands up to examination this season. Maybe they are just happy to get a regular wage, as principals seem to be missing.

Rangers v the Oat Cake Eaters match thread
at 11:07 23 Nov 2024

Currently worse than the Ainsworth season, pretty much across the board , statisticly.

Marti cannot do right with this team, and thats not his fault. However, it's a game of points, and what to they make????....... survival, thats what.
Ergo, come 5pm today, we will be in the crapper even more, and Marti etc will probably get the spanish archer.

This will lead to our physio getting a huge contract not to be 'in country', and more subbuteo rubbish from the team, and those 'just out of their teens' peeps who dont have a scooby!

Heart says 1-1, but bugger it........ 5-0 to the supa hoopsa!

QPR at Plymouth Match Thread!
at 21:22 12 Nov 2024

As its my birthday on the 14th of Feb, can i start the match thread?

Sod it, i'll start it now, just for sh'ts and giggles.

QPR, back from last weeks drubbing with a new man in charge look to score a goal this fine month.
Look out for David Webb offered a contract out of retirement late last week to shore up the defence, while Ned Zelic returns in a shock move by Rangers, who are obviously hoping Ned will score a goal (in any goal) to raise the fans hopes.

Plymouth on the other hand havnt scored a goal in the last 2 weeks, so lump on for a home win, with someone you've never heard of scoring his first goal against the hoops, off his backside.

Having said this, Rangers have been unpredictable, and Jude The Cat has been seen at Sedgemoor Services trying to kick a ball in the coach park in hope that the Manager see's Jude's audacious moves and signs him up, then quickly dumps him to the reserves, them into the subs bench, then outside cleaning the coach as he tries to curry favour with whatever manager or 26 year old is around!

4-1 to Rangers (yes i predict a riot) lol

Surprisingly, i only thought the same the other day.

Running us into obscurity, while saying, well, we 'are' trying etc.

Then the hammer falls, but 'rangers terrace' sounds a nice set of houses, while we get to move to glorious hillingdon, cos theres f'all space to build on in good ole londinium, of course, unless we 'dig down'.
