2nd May 1981 ... Preston 1 v 3 Swansea City
at 12:48 2 May 2019

There were Swans fans celebrating by riding around in an old Ford Anglia up and down Oxford St & Kingsway. The car had no tyres, just bare rims!😀

worst / best .......local bands / singers

Disco Panthers for plenty of horn driven funk. Buttonsville for good quality covers. Right Honourables for brashness and noise. Someone mentioned the King of Despair who used to write their own stuff, were quite good, but split up 8 years back.

Saw Trembling Knees in The Village at Killay a few weeks back and they are still excellent after performing for the better part of forty years. Couldn't move in the place it was so rammed.

Ban under 10s from heading the ball.
at 10:20 13 Feb 2017

Good thing. Most kids don't get proper tuition on how to head a ball properly. I recall heading an old fashioned leather ball that was kicked almost as high as Sputnik. I attempted to head it and caught it on the top of my head and passed out two days later with delayed concussion.

This singing of "Sacked In The Morning"

I wanna know where the fibrilator is kept at the Liberty! There'd have been an effing big queue to use it today! Seriously, we should have collapsed and died after surrendering that 3-1 lead and we did not. Greatly encouraged by our performance. The team must have noticed the flood of 'fans' leaving when we went 4-3 down, but they carried on for the rest of the JBs remaining, and turned the game around. I greatly enjoyed this game and I am hopeful for the games to come. Onwards and upwards.

Favourite pubs in Gower
at 09:42 3 Oct 2016

Thought the Dolphin in Llanrhidian OK with a tidy pint of London Pride. The Welcome to Town has reopened as a pub/restaurant but have not been there yet to try it. For me, the King Arthur is one of the best pubs on Gower, with a great selection of ales and good food. Always busy, and there's a reason for that!

Sunny Majorca.

Been to Cala San Vincente just up from Pollensa a few times late September and mid October. Sun doesn't rise until about 7:30 and sets around same time in the evening. Still very warm but not excessively so. I was able to sit outside the hotel bar until 8:30pm. Good time to go as the crowds won't be there and get in with the right bar, give them a bit of custom before hand and they will probably show a Swans game, especially with the number of Spanish boys playing for us. See you out there first week of October.

'Tramp the dirt down' by Elvis Costello. He was spitting in the video that accompanied this song which was about his pet hate, Thatcher.

A20 or A75
at 15:42 31 May 2015

I've travelled both autoroutes and like the A75 as it takes you to the Tarn Gorge in the southern part of the Massif Central. You get to the Tarn from Millau where the spectacular viaduct is. Go south of Clermont Ferrand and the A75 is free which is also another factor but generally the scenery is more impressive as you pass over the Auvergne with its extinct volcanoes. If you haven't done the Tarn Gorge before I can recommend it as it has more rugged scenery than the Dordorgne and Lot and it also has less British tourists visiting it!

Gomis

Excellent performance from Gomis. Put in a fine shift throughout the whole game. Defensively he is good too. Great to see his confidence rising and the goals starting to come now as that can only be good for us and him.

A www heck guys. GM is having a good streak following on from his 'Manager of the Month' award. Couple to this his positive interviews and the eloquence with which he speaks, and I see trouble ahead. He's becoming a very saleable commodity as a manager. Hope we keep him for a few years more! Garry, remember you are a JB and thanks for giving us such a bloody good start to the season mate.
