It appears (regretably) that Hughes will still be in the job until at least the Sunderland game. With that in mind, if he has an ounce of credibility left in him and wants to go out with at least an ounce of decorum, he should play most of the 'old brigade' on Saturday...

By that, I mean play Hill instead of Ferdinand, Derry and Faurlin in the middle and accommodate Mackie somewhere? We're expected to get thumped, so why not go down fighting?!

My team for Sat would be something like this:-

............... Cesar .............
Dyer......Nelson.....Hill......Traore(sadly)
............Derry.....Faurlin......
...............Granero.............
Mackie.....Cisse......Taarabt....

Ideally I would like Hiolett in there as well but maybe bring him on as/when?!

does anyone else not want us to win on saturday?

I'll take a 1-1 if it means MH goes?!

However, even if we loose, I still don't think TF will do anything and before you know it, Christmas is here and we're up a creek without a paddle!

Still, have to be careful what you wish for - if MH goes, we'll end up bringing in someone like Brian Kidd or Phil Brown!!

I'm sorry, but have we all forgotten who we are?? We're a small side in Shepherds Bush and just about do well to attract a position on google maps, let alone attract a potential manager of Redknapp's calibre.

Have we all forgotten that only two years ago we were pitting our strengths against the likes of Scunthorpe and Doncaster?

If and I emphasise if, Redknapp would even want to come to us, should the opportunity arise, we should all take a reality check and remember the likes of Dowie, Magilton and Hart all plying their trade with us, while Arry was taking Spurs to 4th and 5th positions in the Premier League - #incrediblesomefans

When does patience become panic???
at 16:10 16 Oct 2012

I know what you're saying but I honestly don't see any team as 'likely point winning opportunities' at present.

That phrase hasn't been used in my vocabulary since we romped the Championship under Warnock - Barnsley, Scunthorpe at home etc...

Why do so many on here think that Reading and Southampton are 'gimmies'?

If anything, these are the bannana skins we normally slip up on. Reading came to HQ with a 2nd string side not so long ago and won; West Ham (who were poor and regarded as 'easier' opponents) turned us over with ease, so why will Southampton and Reading be any different?

Hughes is clearly not changing his style or personel, so why will things get any better? I hope I'm clearly proved wrong and he unleashes Zamora, Hoilett and Taarabt on Sunday...

I know this is a hyperthetical thread, but how can anyone dispute that Redknapp would not be a good thing for us if it materialised?

His track record has clearly been illustrated on other threads - who cares what he's done at other clubs - move on...

We all hated the prospect of taking on Warnock - 'northern tw*t' etc... look at his track record?

I'm sorry, but Hughes has had more than enough time - spent far too much money (not his fault granted) but signing too many players is! Warnock turned us around within a few months, so at what point do we see Hughes do the same?

Lets just face it - Hughes isn't right for us - we tried it - it didn't work - move on...

Play the following team and it might, just might save his job....

Cesar
Bosigwa, Nelson, Hill, Traore
Granero, Diakite, Faurlin,
Hoilett, Zamor, Taarabt

4-3-3 in possession, 4-5-1 without the ball.

END OF!

Just for the record...

If Hughes was to play a midfield 3 and Diakite was suspended 'again' then I feel Park could be usefull in there with Faurlin and Granero.

However, while Hughes is in charge don't expect this, coz that would mean we might actually win a game!

Hughes' personality
at 19:11 4 Oct 2012

Trying to pick the bones from our recent bad run of form and wonder if it's anything to do with Hughes' personality? If he comes across as monotone in his interviews as he does to the players, then no wonder we're struggling?! How can he fill them with any enthusiasm or passion when he appears so dull to the media?

I'm not saying sack him because he's soulless, but I just can't warm to the guy, never have done.

Warnock of course was on another level - couldn't wait to here what he had to say pre-match and post-match - similar sort of character to Redknapp??!!

If we haven't won by the end of the month Hughes will no doubt walk anyway - that's what he does, so get the hot seat ready for Redknapp....

Options for West Brom...

I see the The_Mole has been fishing again and some of you have been hooked, lined and sinkered!!

Especially AgedR - ha ha ha....

Just for the record, Cesar is a top keeper, but anyone who thinks he wasn't to blame or partly to blame for the West Spam goals is sadly deluded. His positioning was awful - no wonder Rob Green was laughing!!
