Agree with North that TV has warped the ban decision. But on whether it’s a red or not, the rules are pretty clear:

SERIOUS FOUL PLAY

‘A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force’

Doesn’t matter if it’s premeditated / deliberate or not.

There are million threads on this forum about how it’s worked in this country and others. If we are making a £2m a month loss to finish 16th every year maybe we shouldn’t be here (the Championship) anyway.

No need to take a tone about it either way. I can’t see what’s controversial about what LazyFan has said.

Anecdotally feels like complex loans have only really been around since late 90s.

I remember Beckham going to PNE in mid nineties was huge at the time. Now a player often has half a dozen teams under their belt before making their debut.

If we are talking about the morality of the loan system I agree, but in a moral world teams wouldn’t be able to warehouse players anyway and the likes of Edwards and Yun would be playing full time for a team in the Champ or lower Prem on a permanent basis.
