Chances are fairly subjective. Just because they count it as a chance doesn't mean they've been what most people would consider good chances. He's also had the 5th most shots in the premier league more than any one else in our team again doesn't mean they were good shots |

You forgot Alex McCarthy who will be second choice goalkeeper. If Puel goes we won't sign Hassan (he's only on loan). I also don't think we've got a chance at getting sigurdsson (as much as I would like us to sign him) other than that it seems a fair analysis. |

He's young but he hasn't got no experience he's played over 50 games for Nice that's more than Taylor's played in the last 10 years. |

More like 8, as Clasie seems to be Puel's preference for centre midfield and you would imagine when fit and up to speed Boufal would be in the XI (although I would maybe argue that under Puel Long doesn't seem to be first choice)
You also have the fact that both our full backs are (or at least were at the start of the season) our 3rd choice. And also the potentially big effect of having our captain missing. It was far from our best team and we still played well and deserved our win it is a great testament to the depth we have now. |

Alternatively the only teams to have qualified for the champions league in the same time frame are
Newcastle
Man U
Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool
Tottenham
Man city
Everton
If you take out the big teams of Man U, Chelsea, Man City, all the others are on your list suggesting that the only way to break into the big teams is to feature in the Europa league. I'm not saying that getting Europa league won't hinder us at all in the league but we need it to help raise our reputation |

A black person whiting up is very different, there is no historic oppression or the use of 'whiting up' to portray negative stereotypes in the media like there has been with people blacking up.
It is interesting though, as people dressing up as Bob Marley are clearly not out to offend anyone and it is not like this is the U.S. Where racial tension is even higher and the use of blackface to portray negative stereotypes was even stronger. But if it might offend people is there really any need to black up for a football match?
PS did you see the debate about the people blacking up at the World Cup where there was strong criticism from the U.S. But very little from Germany who have a historic use of blacking up with no racist undertones. I think it's all about association if you're in a culture which associates blacking up with historic racism then it is offensive

The thing that worries me about this is you don't pay 12m for a 27 year old who is first choice at his current club to sit on the bench I can't see any of jay rod pelle or tadic on the bench either so does this mean jay rod is going? (Assuming this deal goes through) |

surely waiting for the world cup gives us just as much time to find a replacement as we can decide to sell now but only negotiate after the world cup, that way we can already have the replacements lined up |
