Big money college sports have effed up problems which are being addressed. Ultra leftist social justice warriors are making it harder with Title IX (which by the way which is why all the worlds most awesome female athletes come to the USA for college) If it wasn't for the women and the help in matring young male superstars that college provides the issue would be different.

Americans own guns to prevent government tyranny. Something Great Britain taught colonists very wisely from a far during your civil war. Months of time between communication of news of said government tyranny passed and this allowed the colonist to incubate this crucial ideal regarding the rule of law. Tragic mass shootings happen in the US but every one occurs in a gun free zone whee murderers know their victims are defenseless. The US abounds with with retired trained military and law enforcement officials who who would gladly volunteer to protect our innocent in these gun free zones. Why this doesn't happen is because of the lefts political agenda (fake tears in Obamas eyes no doubt) and it will change. Umm we call it baseball and basketball but we do the courtesy of calling soccer, a term the Brits invented, football just to be polite. But you continue to be assholes and call baseball rounders (a girls game) and basketball (netball), a game played well by most European nations other than Brits. You should be proud of your pettiness. Europeans took it upon themselves to change the rules of international basketball even though it was invented by a Cannadian living in the USA so it was better for the Euro inferior stlyle of the game . Americans graciously played along and still kick the world's butt at basketball. If the USA tried to do that with soccer, and we did and guys like Beckenbauer and Pele loved it, it was roundly criticized by the likes of you all insular football neanderthals. I'm sure you'll fare well with your little stadium and xenophobic fan base in the the days days of FIFA financial fair play because it's totally been set up to help the little guys like Swansea, not Man city or Barca or any of those lucrative clubs. Of course America is to blame. Never mind that Castro's wealth is estimated at over $900 million and he popularized the look of sporting two Rolex's on his wrist. Nevermind that during Castro's life Cuba had economic trade with the Soviet Union, Russia, Europe, China, Canada, and South America. Nevermind that in the 1960's Castro seized over a $1billion of assets owned by American companies, who provided jobs to Cubans by the way, and put them under state control. Never mind that no communist government has ever brought economic prosperity to the average worker. Nevermind that despite the US embargo on Cuba, the US is still Cuba's fifth largest trading partner since medicine and food have always been excluded from the embargo. And never mind Cuban athletes, unlike their peers in other Caribbean nations, are prohibited from playing professional sports in pro leagues in the US or elsewhere in order to earn a living. It's not the failure of Castro's policies or his alliance with the Soviet Union, it's all the USA's fault. |

First of all the Clinton campaign in 2008 started the whole idea of questioning Obama's Americanism because he spent part of his boyhood growing up in Indonesia and attending a muslim school. Emails have been released where the Clinton campaign outlined this strategy and there is news show footage of it being put into play along with photos of him in muslim garb. The whole thing was just stupid because his mother was a US citizen and that made him a natural born citizen no matter where he was born (there were rumors of relatives saying he was born in Kenya). After Obama got elected Trump was pretty much the only person of significance pushing for him to produce his long form birth certificate. And I think Obama benefited from Trump's harassment more than he suffered. He absolutely skewered Trump over it at some reporters gala. If you want to see Trump squirm google it.
It is not true that no one questioned Cruz's eligibility to run for president. Trump talked about it constantly and lawsuits were filed in several states, all of which were defeated. Cruz's mother was a US citizen so that made him a natural born US citizen at birth. That is how it works. Anyone who has had a child abroad, like me, knows the US government considers your child a US citizen at birth if a parent is a US citizen. All that is required is a trip to the US embassy to get that child's US passport.
I dont recall any prominent republicans that questioned Obama's eligibility. It was just Trump, who wasn't even a Republican at the time, and right wing people who thought Obama was an anti-American muslim. People on the left and the media questioned McCain's eligibility to run for president in 2008. Some guy filed a lawsuit. The media made a big deal about the questioning of Obama, and not the questioning of Cruz and McCain, that is the only difference. They could have squashed the questioning of Obama's eligibility with a few simple facts but they didn't because it made good news. |

This is funny because when he coached the US a big criticism of him was that he didn't say much or provide much information in press conferences and interviews. Fans didn't know what he was thinking or how things were within the team. This seems to have changed since going Egypt and Europe. Perhaps he feels a need for people to get to know him and trust him more than when he was in the US. |
