I didn’t think Smallbone deserved that, he seems to always been a scapegoat by most of our fan base .
He’s not a top flight player but then most of our team aren’t either the anger should have been directed towards Juric for picking the team he did and Dragon for picking Juric. |

Another example of how badly run we are, there can’t be many clubs that only have one club shop and that’s only open 3 days a week .
Even little Portsmouth have a shop in gunwharf Quays as well as the shop they have at Fratton Park.
Where are fans supposed to by merchandise for the rest of the week? |

Could not agree more of what you have written Nick .
We have ( or had ) a solid foundation for a good championship team and the likes of Archer , Armstrong and Diaz ( should not let him leave in my opinion) had the strikforce that could get a few goals.
We lent one out who may not wish to come back and Sheffield Utd have an option to buy the other one .
Sulemana has shown no real fight in 2 years at the club and couldn’t wait to get away the trouble was no one wanted him. I’ll give he he’s at now started to put a bit of effort in but I wouldn’t want to rely on him next season .
Tall Paul I just don’t see what a lot of fans see in him.
Like you say the real worry is Juric ripping apart a squad that didn’t need ripping apart, Martin had his faults but at least he was a manage that knew the championship unlike Juric .
Dragon and his cronies don’t seem to have a clue or a plan of what they are doing and the new bloke I’ve no faith in whatsoever.
We could have worse owners but we could also have a darn sight more better owners .
We will find out soon enough just what state our finances are and see how much Sport Republic have fvcked us . |

1) Some fans seem to want the ”Red Wall” to fail and constantly slag it off.
2) we don’t have many songs and the ones we do have get over sung . More songs and winning football would help the atmosphere from the “wall”
3) I don’t think we would have got 3000 more fans of the Kingsland was open ( something we will never know) Maybe of the price was more reasonable and we weren’t losing every week the attendance would have been better .
4) Juric is a worry his team selections are strange and fvck knows what his tactics are.
5) a wake up call for those that think next season in the championship will see us challenging again . We got a lot of work todo in the summer. [Post edited 11 Feb 16:43]

Exactly Nick , Sport Republic have done many things wrong in the time they’ve owed us , not spending vast amounts of money in January was one of only a few times they’ve got something right.
It would have been absolutely crazy to spend money on players this window and I can’t believe anyone actually thought we would . |

1) the bus replacement was no where near as bad as we feared , even got to Ipswich earlier then planned.
2) is there a closer league ground to a main line railway station?
3) plenty of pubs in the town centre to enjoy - best to avoid the “away” pub by the station.
4) I’m fairly certain the lower tiers of the 2 end stands are the same as when they were terracing , perhaps just had the terrace reprofiled to put seats in. Only the upper tiers are “new” builds . Even they must be getting on for 25+ years old now .

One of my fears of keeping Juric is knowledge of English football and the championship.
I’d keep both Archer and Armstrong , I’d even keep Diaz as I think there score a hatful playing the right way next season. |

My 1st Pompey Saints Derby and my 1st visit to Fratton .
A great day was stood on the fence at the back and the carnage when Moran scored I’ll never get over .
Another memory was my dad drove over and parked along the eastern road as we walked up I saw some “lads” dressed all casual and thought they were saints as I seen saints lads dress in a similar way .
I soon changed my mind when I heard one of them say “1st of all scummers chased us but we soon regrouped “
Up to then as a youngster of just turned 14 I never really knew much about the casual movement at the time - I learned a lot that day ! |
