Mackie is a good champ player and scored some good goals for us but think he is now believing his own hype. What with the Jock call-up and prem experience. Mainly whilst losing a lot and moaning at his team mates.
We have surely added a clause saying he cant play against us next year right? Cos otherwise he's bound to notch when we go up there.

Are we honestly selling/shifting any player who poses a threat to the opposition goal? At my last count we have three senior strikers, one of which will probably not turn out for us this season depending on a court case or lucrative transfer and two players who's fitness cannot, as of yet, be relied on. Yet we've let four proven goal scorers at this level go of which two in my opinion could have done a job for us. It's our excess in midfield who we should be cutting loose before we blunt our already dull attack any further.
We've lost Cissé, Campbell, Bothroyd, Hulse & Mackie without anyone coming in.

Nobody thinks Mackie is a great player. However with the squad we have where the majority do not care or put in a shift in, or chase down lose balls, losing a player like Mackie affects the fans.
We need people like Mackie as he reflects a proper old school football man possibly punching above his weight but never going to give up.
The position we're in with some high earners who don't give two hoots about the club we should have tried to sacrifice the £1.5m or whatever it is simply to keep the fans with the club.
I can see 5 games down the line we have to put on the pitch Barton, Bos and Mbia as we've not been able to make the signings we've wanted. We lose a few games, the usual suspects don't put in a shift...
the fans will start singing 'There's only one Jamie Mackie' and start to turn against HR.
On the flip side some may think we'll storm the first 5 games and it will be Jamie who? However, with the players we currently have, I just can't see it.

This is the one sensible response to my post. It's not Mackie going itself that is the issue for me, but the way 'Arry, Rosie, Tone etc continue to treat anyone who gives a flying fig about the hoops, whilst tolerating appalling behaviour and performances from the myriad of wasters; even adding to the list with more Karl Henry type clowns that we pay more money to for doing Phook Hall.
There is just about nothing at QPR that I identify with any more, apart from Ocean Billy's, The White Horse and LFW, so the idea of shelling out £50 plus on a match day to have my knees scraped to the bone has lost its appeal.
