Loftus Road 13:17 - Apr 22 with 2062 views | Nelson_Rs | The atmosphere at Loftus Road over the past few weeks (just like Chelsea and Man City earlier in the season) has been incredible. I don't think I will ever forget how rattled some of the so called premier league stars have been by 15,000 R's right on top of the pitch, right from Mata refusing to take corners (or even stay on the pitch for 45 mins) and the rest of the Chelscum team losing their heads right through to Van Der Vart and Bale yesterday. It is great to see Loftus Road literally rocking, and it may just have been the difference between survival and relegation this seasson, U RRR's!
Loftus Road on 13:22 - Apr 22 with 2018 views | smegma | During the Arsenal game Tony Gale commented that Arsenal seemed to have the attitude that we weren't allowed to tackle them. It appears Tottenham players had the exact same feeling yesterday , as did Chelsea back in October. Also in the Arsenal programme Barton urged the fans to make LR into a mini-fortress and it has become with 4 wins and a draw in the last 5 home games. And who would've thought at the start of the season we would've beaten the three top London clubs ???

completely agree, it's been the ultimate season of performing against the 'big' teams (and less so against the poorer ones). Team performances recently at home have been top notch, I've come away from our last 3 home games thinking every player has had a good game and the atmosphere generated has urged them on
Loftus Road on 13:39 - Apr 22 with 1940 views | queensparker | It's not just the players of the 'big four' who can't handle it. Look at this comment on a Spurs forum: "On a side note I've been wondering why the home fans are such disgraceful gunts and booed us for 90 minutes. Done a Google search and found lots of teams have found the same thing, they just got booed constantly for 90 minutes, home fans refusing to throw the ball back, or throwing it far away from the player, etc. Listening to it was doing my head in. It's like they've decided to be a mini-Millwall because they know their team isn't very good. Awful negative atmosphere and if I was a QPR player I'd think my own team's fans were a bunch of miserable tw@ts." What a weapon. Creating a hostile atmosphere is a 'disgrace'? And he thinks our players don't like it? Another modern football fan without a clue
Loftus Road on 13:41 - Apr 22 with 1926 views | Neil_SI | We have certainly stepped up to the plate and played our part, but it goes hand in hand with the type of character and performances shown on the pitch. All you want is for your team to give it a go and we can't argue with that. There's a togetherness there that was sorely lacking in the early stages, but they're beginning to fight for each other as well as us. It's all the more impressive that they've suddenly gelled in the nick of time, because the run in would have looked daunting and with so much pressure and a lot at stake, it's easier to hide than it is to stand up and face reality head on. Whatever happens, we didn't want to go down with a whimper, and even if we do, we have to respect the effort the players have made and they've treated us to some wonderful results in recent weeks that we probably wouldn't have thought possible.
Loftus Road on 13:44 - Apr 22 with 1911 views | N12Hoop | The atmosphere has been awesome but that's because of the position we find ourselves in and the importance of the game. What would be great is to create the intimidating atmosphere at all games, even if we sitting comfortably in mid-table.

Absolutely. One home game to go, and we as fans have a massive part to play in that. Although the players obviously take most of the responsibility for poor form earlier in the season, I also feel we fans could have got stuck in a bit more and made LR a harder place for ANY team to come to, not just the big boys.

Loftus Road on 15:25 - Apr 22 with 1733 views | barbicanranger | Just logged on to start a post to say a massive hats off to all the QPR fans at LR yesterday - I sit in the R block so am used to having a good sing song all game but to see the whole of the loft and SAR on their feet joining in yesterday was epic and I have absolutely no doubt that it helped us to the three points...great to see and even better to be a part of. RE: the comment from the Spurs forum above, wreaks of sour grapes to me - they like to think they have one of the "better" atmospheres in the premier league but same as the arsenal, chelsea and liverpool fans that came before them they saw what a proper partisan crowd and compact ground is all about. Re watched the game on sky+ today and some of the scenes from the home fans were brilliant something that from what i've seen from away games this year is sadly lacking in at most premier league grounds. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Totally agree. Hughes really has a great team spirit going and it reall looks lime everybody at least cares!! Just look at the way the whole bench celebrate our goals!! I'm starting to feel like that whatever happens this season, there are good times ahead fo us

Spot on, should we manage to get through these last 3 games without succumbing to the dreaded drop zone the signs look incredibly promising for next season. Whatever happens, keeping our band of mentally unstable potential cult heroes would mean it definitely won't be dull!
