Your title is also an apt microcosm of our season as a whole. When we were very crap at the beginning and a bit crap recently (results wise anyway),we haven't scored enough GOALS to win matches. The good bit in the middle we were scoring two - occasionally three- goals per game. We the exception of Derby we have stopped doing that again. One goal is rarely enough for us to win games - offhand I can only recall Plymouth away - so until be get back to scoring twice in a game, results will suffer. We are creating chances but our AIM needs to improve. |  | | |

Quite a few have hit the beach, and you can't blame them. A huge summer coming up in terms of recruitment, get it right and a mid table finish is achievable, get it wrong and we could be bang in trouble.

We do have the core of next seasons team committed to the club. Off the top of my head Nardi, Morrison, a fit JCS, Varane, Field, Vale, Morgan, Dembele, Smyth, Chair, Kolli, Lloyd, Celar and dare I say Madsen, other young guns. That’s before we negotiate. So it's OK for professional players (or our players) just to coast once they think they're safe? Where does that leave the fans? With sand in their eyes, one assumes. Good players want to be good players all the time. |  |
