Will Smallbone largely mocked.
FWIW I clapped Brooks. I really liked him at Saints, he was the best player on the pitch by a mile in our home play-off v West Brom. He was a great loan signing and we never replaced him when he left.
Smallbone. I didn’t jeer him, but he was terrible. Never should have been picked.
That said, I feel awful for him that he was jeered, There are a number of others in the team more deserving of that treatment. |  |

I really hope we start again in the championship with Danny Rohl as manager and completely new start. A new team and new era. But Solak said Juric will lead us next year. Stuie was a real loss, the only player we had with guile and intelligence. Loved his trademark diagonal runs...he should have been played more.

Smallbone was not jeered. There was a cheer (not a jeer) for the substitution because Juric had finally seen sense and replaced him with Dibling. Smallbone is a League One level player getting selected to start in a Premier League game in a crucial position in the centre of midfield. That's ridiculous and the fault lies with the manager for doing it. If Juric was any good as a manager he would have seen enough of him now to know that playing him in a game like this was sheer stupidity and that it would end any chance we had of getting a result. Everyone else in the stadium knew that so why didn't he? Maybe he's so slow on the uptake that he needed a crowd reaction like that to make him aware. [Post edited 16 Feb 0:58]

I really don't get this Rohl love in our fans have. I agree, it was sheer madness for the manager to change a midfield that's been so incredibly successful all campaign. Our season could take a dramatic downturn from here. |  | | |

Nope sadly he is not a top flight player but then again who from our current squad is. This really does show just how good Sport Republic have been since coming in.

Were you at the game? I didn't see anger directed at Smallbone; I saw cheering for a much-needed positive substitution from Juric at last.
Should the fans just accept poor standards? Unfortunately, that has gone on at our club for far too long, which is why we've ended up with a core of players, like McCarthy, Stephens, Bednarek and Smallbone, who are simply not good enough, hanging around for years. I don't think any other top flight club would have allowed that to happen. | |
