We beat Eustace only a couple of games ago and I reckon we’ll beat his team again. I’d also like to see Colback and Morgan as the deeper laying two in midfield and Kolli given a chance after an hour or so if he’s recovered from his recent injury/illness (?). I think he’s been hard done by recently considering the amount of goals and assists he’s had.
Rangers 2 Rams 0
C’mon you Soooooopah…

Some good things, and lovely goals, but not really a 4-0 game for me - 3-2 or 4-2 wouldn't have flattered Derby. Overall, I'm obviously pleased, though a bit peeved to see Marti's 'I always go for another goal' approach in the final 15m, when we could have gone for a fifth and sixth and neutralised our goal difference. Still, job mostly well done!
How can you say they deserved two goals when they only had 1 shot on target, and that wasn’t until the 75th minute?

Just wrote a big long post regarding the game and both team’s performance then got bored listening to myself so basically
We were fking awesome , could have scored more Derby were fking sh!te and if they scored would have been a consolation at best
Some fantastic play all round and had we not spent the best part of the last 3 years sh!tying ourselfs about relegation probably would have won 6 or 7 nil
Happy Saturday everyone

Great day. Currently in 11th, and our form in the last 10 matches is 4th best. Three points from the playoffs and safe from relegation. Sunny sunny day

One open goal, inches wide, an d one marginal offside goal given against them. Plus plenty of possession, and one or two decent off-target attempts. It's hardly an irrational conclusion!

Magnificent result, efficient performance. We didn't play them off the park but we were physical, worked hard, and clinical when mattered.
Sure first 20 or so before 1st goal it was pretty even and we didn't look all that cohesive; Marti mentioned in his post match they'd set up a bit differently under Eustace than they had before, so we had to adjust. Which we did, handily.
Special mention for Yang who I thought found it tough on his first start (unsurprisingly), but stayed focused and produced an excellent piece of quality for the 3rd goal.
I love Saito.

In my opinion they got what they deserved, which was 0.

Best we’ve seen this season from the three behind the striker, all linked up well and that ultimately melted a poor but very hard working Derby side, the sort that very often has disrupted our style of play but not today.
Also doubled the goal output from the three attacking midfielders in one game so no complaints from me.
I don’t get the criticism of Varane and Field. The clue is in the title, Central Defensive Midfield, emphasise on the second word specifically. We used to get run through down the centre, not with these two.
They did that part of the job and the three in front of them stepped up tonight and did their job, that’s how you win games.

Great to see us win 4-0 live on Sky again. Shame the Leeds game was not moved to a Friday night. We don't fire on all cylinders for 1230 games. My one gripe is we had 25 minutes to be ruthless and add more goals to the four tonight but didn't. Could have got the GD back to zero.

2nd home game in a while that was really enjoyable, to be fair we were all over the place for the first 20 but Chairs worldy settled us down and it was a rout for the next 40 minutes either side of half time. Subs killed it a bit, Shame Kolli is injured as he would have perfect for the 2nd half. Madsen did absolutely fine in the round, I wish he had a shot instead of trying to put Saito in, but his confidence is shot. he was probably one of the better of the subs, Morgan a bit off it as he has been the last couple of games. Smyth and Lloyd had no impact Morrison had a bit of a mare of 10 minutes and needs some game time. Yang got hooked just as he was hitting flow. (Nice to see the Korean version of the bow to the crowd and the team)
Chair clearly MOTM, but Saito and Ronnie "Beckenbaur" Edwards brought the valentines heart flutters. Varane had a great game, and Field was having an excellent 2nd half.
Saito = Joy - Please confirm permanent Nourry, he just makes me happy !

Absolutely.
Just enjoy it lads. No points for contrary.
I did/do enjoy it, but it doesn't alter the fact that 4-0 flattered us a bit. Perfectionists are driven by passion, and that's how anyone keeps improving at anything. (Not a culture that's been intrinsic to QPR over recent years, and I've been following them from 50, so have hopefully gleaned one or two things in comparative data over that half-century.)
The people at the top of their game in their profession - from Dennis Bergkamp to Alex Ferguson to Gordon Ramsey (rather than, say, Chris Ramsey) and David Lynch - always want more from everrthing they do. That's why they excel.
I was on Valentine’s duty at home (brief sessions in front of the fire stick while putting kids to bed and sorting a deluxe takeaway), but main thought was if Marti can get Chair firing in a 10 role - which nobody has ever really done - that could be happy days for us and him

You're reaching, pal. Derby had 51% possession and 1 shot on target.
Other than the sitter that Yates missed, Derby didn't create any clear cut chances. Yates' miss came in the 83rd minute with QPR 4-0 up and declaring having put Madsen on the pitch. Yates' finish was so poor that you simply can't put it down to bad luck. As for the offside, it's offside, so no further discussion required.
Your assessment also neglects to consider the other decent chances which QPR had to add to their tally of 4 goals. Cook could and perhaps should have made it 3-0 in the first half with a free header from a corner. Saito had a decent effort deflected wide. Frey's magnificent effort from long range that almost hit top bins.
After considering chances for both sides, one could easily argue that it could've been 6-1. However, what it most certainly wasn't was a 3-2 game. Not in a month of Sundays. To even suggest a close contest is an irrational conclusion.
Now, let's see what the rest of the world thinks.
The BBC have gone with the headline "QPR rip Derby apart as new boss Eustace suffers in first game."
Sky are running with "QPR thrash Derby as Eustace learns about scale of task at hand."
West London Sport - "Chair scores twice as superb QPR thrash Derby."
Meanwhile, Derbyshire Live rated every Derby player bar one a 4 out of 10. The one exception was a 4.5.
In short, it was a dominant and convincing 4-0 victory.

I enjoyed your answer, fellah!
On balance, maybe, 4-2 wouldn't have been improbable.
The offside goal was very close, and on another day might not have been given. They had 7 goal efforts and shaded the possession, which isn't bad at all, given the result. Their deflected shot wide in the first half, or the volley over the bar - one of those goes in, and it's a different game.
But, look, I'm not really arguing with you. We scored some great goals and obviously deserved it. I'm happy(ish)!

I mean that Jesse Owens in Berlin in 1936, was alright, but no one ever mentions a tight hamstring for the other lads do they? I mean he wasn't exactly great off the starting line, and also his technique was far inferior to every other sprinter..... fckin hell mate we've just won 4-0 ar home with 2 of 4 of the goals being technically brilliant. Do something that brings you joy in life... "Malala, yeh an intelligent so and so, but she didn't 'alf get a bump up"

It's so easy to tell you have no actual connection to the games, without this kind of forum I'm not sure you'd even be interested in QPR.

I assume they only shaded the possession due to us taking the collective foot off the gas at 4-0. Felt like we were pretty much camped in their half from half-time until a few minutes after Edwards’ goal.
They were abysmal and who knows what happens if that deflected shot goes against us but I really felt like we had another gear or two in us had we needed it. They had very little apart from winning soft free kicks and lumping it into the box.

Wha's obvious is people like you have no connection with fans like me, who've followed QPR as a home/away season ticket holder, Supporters Club member, fanzine writer, and now Overseas/Irish R for half a century. To be honest, you just embarrass yourself with posts like this, but carry on as you are if it makes you feel better to put down the likes of me to prop up your own fragile self-identity.
Well what away to kick off my 50th birthday weekend . Family in the skylounge , good food , booze birthday cake a card board cut out of me as a 6 year old in my Rangers kit and a whacking great 4-0 victory . Tremendous stuff.
Started slowly but once Ilias smashed one in I thought we dominated the game . It’s not perfect but it’s getting there . The points tally from mid November tells you that . Thought Varane played well and I bloody love Saito at the moment . Frey didn’t have a great game but once again , once he’s removed we lose our focal point and start to look more ragged. Reading through a couple of pages on this thread and I struggle to understand what some fans want .
If nights like tonight don’t bring you joy and pride and happiness , then just go do something that does .
