Absolutely - straight after the investigation into Covid contracts given out by Westminster. The VIP lane will take some explaining. ‘…….a quarter of the money awarded through the VIP lane was wasted on equipment that couldn’t be used. Last year, Spotlight on Corruption revealed that VIP firms supplied £1bn worth of PPE that was not fit for purpose, amounting to 26% of the money spent in this way.’ I am sure you agree or you would just be anti senedd ….

Anti Sennedd? £1 billion on ppe, how much have this so called Labour government in Wales have wasted, and Drakeford is in charge of finance! Looking on the bright side newts are safe, never mind 10 mile tailbacks at the Brynglass tunnels. Wales is closed for business

I thought it was aimed at a level you'd understand , you have this unerring knack of being offended by anyone who dare present any negativity towards Wales, my posts are never against my country but at those who we have the misfortune to run it , one example of too many ,the link posted highlighting the mismanagement of taxpayers money .

What about the House of commons and house of lords. They deal with bigger budgets around nd are worse The Senedd is only as good as the people selected by the Welsh public. You attack the institution.. It is here to stay. It is definitely facto run by Labour until the Welsh people decide enough.

I had noticed , there's a huge difference of attacking a place/country and an establishment for example , its a pity some can't distinguish the difference between them if they could then there'd be no need for any unpleasantness.

Boundy boy I’ve always thought if one really loves a place ,like a country, then only the best is good enough I have not been back since my father died and have to say seeing the state of the city brought me to tears . It was desolate . I spent frightening amount of time on Kingsway and St Helens Rd and to see what it has become made me genuinely sick Yet, I read of increased welsh speaking . Just WTF has that to do with anything . I’d rather a prosperous Wales and nobody speak it . Being defensive in that manner is simply very shallow

Fair play, I knew you’d pop up on this thread, at least you’ve cleared off from Wales and don’t want to come back. Did I tell you the one about the scouser who went into a pub in North Wales with a parrot on his shoulder?

This where we differ, I appreciate you see the city in a different light , myself I accept Swansea for what it is , an underfunded , forgotten City ,one if those in cardiff had the power would wipe us off the map but they can't ,we're too resilient and caring for what it is, warts and all a true city by the sea , no need to flood a mudflat to create a "bay" we have one bigger and better , beautiful coastline and minutes from true countryside .The lack of shops doesn't really bother me but it does sadden me to see a centre devoid of the bustling crowds of my youth but now we have a City full of youth due to the expansion of the University and with that growth of new buildings ,ones which have replaced many of those which had fallen into disrepair . We have our faults but for me no finer place to live.

Glad to see you have accepted Wales as a nation at last. Its hard to set up Welsh Govt in just 20 years, but we still need the tools to do the proper job. Crown Estate, HS2, Police devolved like Scotland, Air Passenger Taxes, welsh water, all need sorting etc By comparison to the last 20 years in Westminster, than Welsh Govt have started ok. The 20 mph was a good idea but badly introduced. Tourist tax and second home tax good ideas. Free hospital parking, free prescriptions help many. Cheaper Uni loans helps welsh students. Future generations act good idea, badly explained. Cutting funding to Sports and Arts is a pish poor decision. We have certainly lacked a young charismatic leader, maybe Rhun ? Need to get better outcomes in schools and health but i would not Truss, Johnson, Sunak or Starmer to deliver on that. Politics is about doing the right things at the right times to help the many. The current system in is far more democratic than the London first past the post system

I don’t really disagree . However, we make our living and raise family as is best option Your “ forgotten city” is exactly as I see it and it’s been shat on over decades
