Sees Chong is 1 on 1 with Dunne, knows he's quicker than Dunne, looks around and scans the pitch, sees no-one breaking in his space and opts to sprint across the pitch to cover Dunne and put in a possible goal-saving tackle,

Field can't have MotM for the simple reason of booting the ball first time from the halfway line straight to their goalie in the 2nd half. We were under the cosh a bit, and he just blindly panicked and whacked it. No need, had plenty of time to take a touch and keep possession.
He does tend to do this.

That assumes Dembele goes straight back in - after a promising start, he stuttered badly. Assuming he can get back to where has physically (which as a young player should be feasible), he still needs to earn his place. Hopefully, the greater competition and uptick in the team's form will bring out the best in him. |  |

Field was immense last night. In the first half especially he made a lot of advanced runs down the left past Chair and into space, he covered so much ground. Chair is a better player when he has players around him that he trusts, otherwise he tends to keep the ball a bit too much. He clearly trusts Field, Paal, Morgan, etc. | | | |

Chair ran back and supported Paal to double on the wings against the opposition. This was key to stopping their play down the left-hand side for the whole game.
