home game vs Derby County 10:58 - Dec 25 with 4822 viewscpgerber

Christmas present for the kids, we're taking them to London for a few days during their Feb school holidays (15-23 Feb). Only QPR home game in that period is Friday the 14th. No ticket information yet, but should we be able to get tickets for a family of 4? For that day we need to take the kids a day out of school also, so if you guys think tickets will be a problem, we might as well pick dates later in the window. Have to book flights and hotel soonish.

Merry Christmas to you and the family. You'll have no problem at all getting tickets. They'll be on sale at least 2-3 weeks before the match and you'll be able to pretty much pick where you want to sit. Once the tickets go on sale, just log on to the website and you'll get a map of all the available seats. Hope it's a good game for you all.

Can I just make the general conclusion that the more expensive the ticket, the better the view? Recommendations for areas to sit?

I was thinking as low down as possible on the upper tier of the main stand as close to midway as possible. They also seem to be the most expensive at 38 quid. But since this might be a once in a lifetime experience, I am willing to fork out whatever is needed to make the most of it.

Plenty of tickets still available for tonight vs Luton, so I am pretty sure we'll get tickets for Derby.

I'm a big fan of Lower Paddock.

* Unobstructed view (no pillars)
* In the middle of the pitch (I struggle to see from the ends)
* Kids sometimes get a chance to get a selfie with the players at the end (as the players go past the paddocks to go in the tunnel)

And, they are the cheapest tickets in the ground!

There is one catch... There is no roof, so if it rains you and your whole family get wet.

Poll: Who had the better brace?

Lower Loft. KL or LL. There’s good pricing for adult/child packages, kids can go down the front during warm up to be close to the players. Go for rows J and back to avoid the worst of the rain.

Maybe see if you can get a stadium tour during the afternoon?

So, I am trying to buy tickets and found what looks to be great seats in F block, near the middel, lower upper deck of the main stand. But on check-out, it says "Seats have restricted view". The view they show seems fine, so what is the "hidden restriction" here? See link below.

Looking to the right, towards the school end, there is a post that will interfere with the view of action at that end,

cheers. odd that the almost most expensive seats in the house has this restriction. I'm guessing its not a total blocking post and easy to see past?

In my experience, the restricted view warning is only shown for seats where the pillars will significantly block views of the goals (happy to be corrected on this though). I bought tickets in F block for the Preston game and avoided the available seats in the middle of the block for that reason, chose to go up at the back instead.

literraly two days after buying our tickets, my son tore his knee ligaments in a football game. We’ll hear later this week, maybe an opp is needed. He’ll most likely be in crutches for a while. Hopefully not a wheelchair. Can we still manage up the stairs and into the seat like that? otherwise I’ll have to contact the club, see if I can get him in a more accessable seat.

If you haven’t got aisle seats it will be a nightmare for him to sit down with the restricted legroom in that stand.Seeing as it’s a tv game, there should be loads of spare seats elsewhere.Ring the box office and ask them asap.

I had a hip operation last year and had the same issue with the steps. I contacted the club and they moved me and Mrs FB down to the paddocks up near the away end. Only needed it for one match.

So here it is, finally. After having been a QPR fan for almost 40 years, my first home game at Loftus Road tomorrow evening.

We got the seats changed to the upper loft, where my son will have an isle seat. (a raptured ACL has been confirmed in the mean while, getting an operation next month. Poor bloke is hobbling along on crutches)

Tips for places in the neighbourhood where we can grab a pub-dinner before the game? Or will everything be packed and should we look to get dinner further away?

totally psyched.

Really hope you have a good time and we get the right result for you.

It's been a while since I've dined locally so others may be able to advise but if you're with the family and your son is on crutches, maybe go to Westfield as they have a lot of places there. Byron's Burgers is good and better than McD's, Burger King etc.

If you want to go to a “home” pub and have some half decent food in the process, go to the Crown & Sceptre but get their early or book, otherwise you won’t get a table. Also it’s Thai food.

Depending on the age of the kids, easiest thing will be to go to Westfield as there are tons of options, but they’re all chains.

If you are foodies, and want to experience an English gastro pub, not full of football fans getting on the beer after work on a Friday night, head to either The Dartmouth Castle in Hammersmith or The Andover Arms or The Anglesea Arms. Food is decent and the beer is good. If you’re American you’ll be able to afford them! All are between Hammersmith and the Goldhawk Rd, and about a 20 min walk to the ground.

Agreed on Westfield having plenty of options and just a short walk away.

There is a Wetherspoons pub right opposite Shepherd’s Bush central line station called the central bar,but it isn’t the best food in the world. But it is cheap and you can order from your table. It does get a bit busy on Fridays though,so you might need to get in early.

It's upstairs, but there's an escalator.

If you like a bit of Lebanese food, Ayam Zaman is the spot and it's only a two minute walk from the ground from there. I know you can book a table there as I've got one booked for family meet up before the game.

this pub is along the Uxbridge Road towards Acton; very good food and nice home crowd vibe; try and book a table if you think it's not too far from the ground/tube

This place opened a few months back and does a roaring trade in burgers, shakes etc. Not excessive in price either and right on Loftus Road.
