In the spirit of non-losses in the match-thread stakes, I will start this.
Hopefully we will make Red Leicester flavoured Walkers Crisps out of Leicester City FC
I am going for a 1 - nil win for us. I think the players will turn up and the game will be tight.
Going for a Chair goal, a long range effort with a deflection.... they will press us like mad, but we will fluke this win and continue Leicester's shitty form to 3 loses.
If we lose, I will gladly down tools for match threads for the rest of the season.
Fingers crossed!!!
Paul

Dykes definitely onside for the first, sprang the offside trap brilliantly. In the stadium I thought he'd just screwed a shot up as I didn't see Chair until the ball came across and he was suddenly there to tap it in.
Bit harsh to criticise Begovic, I think defensively we just didn't react quick enough to the rebound. The ball had a lot of pace on it.
I was sitting in that away end last time we played there and got dicked 5-1 in that final game of 2014/15 when they were raucous from their great escape the year before they won the league and it felt like every man and his dog were running riot at us that day. That's been my last memory of seeing QPR in my home city - I've been waiting 9 years for us to go back and we go and do that! In some respects I wouldnt mind it if we don't play for them for 10 years again now, keeps my bragging rights a bit longer!

Try telling Steve Cook that. He gave Begovic a healthy bollocking for not parrying the ball away from danger, and rightly so. Whilst it was hit with pace, the free kick wasn't top bins. It was at a comfortable height. A keeper of his experience could and should do better.

Respectfully disagree but I guess we see things differently and that’s fair enough. 20 years ago goalkeepers just caught those. I didn’t expect that but parry it out wide man. He got it all wrong .
But hey this is for another day. It’s a wonderful gutsy win. Proud of that team today . Not said that much in recent times
To be fair to Begovic, I've rewatched it several times, and it looked like it moved late.
At the risk of being shot down in flames aside from scoring I thought Sinclair was poor today. Didn’t put himself about defensively, poor decision making and seemed to lack energy.

Tough call but I thought Marti could have put on Frey later on to make a better job of holding the ball but it would be too harsh to pull off Armstrong . Most posters agree we butchered our chances to get the 3rd and 4th goal and if Frey was on those balls instead of Armstrong the results might have been different . Thanks to the D we held out for a massive morale boosting victory

So this weeks boo boy (despite one of the best results of the season) is our goalkeeper - Whom according to the stats, of their 5 on target shots, 4 were saved, not blocked or anything else - Saved.
Only QPR fans - Would be nice if for once no one in the team was criticised - Cut them all some slack for today and enjoy the best result of our season so far

The 3000 were magnificent today. Proud to have been one of them.
As for the game, despite Leicester's possession, it didn't feel like they really threatened much until late in the second half. It's been a long time since I've watched the Rs without being a nervous wreck. And how have we become so good at defending corners all of a sudden?

If we hadn’t left the Kingpower today with three points then Begovic’s save and recovery would be under extensive scrutiny.
After Dieng’s fire sale we were left with very little in the goalkeeping department and Asmir brought experience and a cool head with him and although nobody is perfect he has made some fine saves throughout the season.
Suffice to say there will be a Word Document on Marti’s PC named Season 2024/25 – Goalkeeper.

Elsewhere on the internet Sinclair is getting grief for doing nothing apart from scoring with his first touch. It’s proper What have the Romans done for us stuff.
