Armageddon on 07:24 - Nov 2 with 4023 views | slmrstid | Calm in Leicester so far but I believe looking at the forecast we're set to miss the storm for the most part as its moving east across the south of the country. Due to be wet and that's about it. We got a month's worth of rainfall in a day during Babet a couple of weeks ago and there was a lot of flooding in the county so probably small mercies for us further north in the Midlands (and hopefully those poor folk in Scotland get a respite too!)

Armageddon on 09:04 - Nov 2 with 3681 views | CamberleyR | Horrendous in south Somerset. I've not been able to get into work in Chippenham this morning as roads are closed due to flooding on the two different routes I'd use. The river (River Gascoigne) that runs through my village I'd say won't need much more rain for it to probably burst it's banks.

Mate, when I got back from work last night my paving was covered in a layer of sediment. Realising the ACO drain was backing right up I went out with head torch and got stuck in with my pressure washer and drain unblocking hose. 30 mins later I want back inside looking like the man from the swamp. Drain working though. I'm got roofers replacing all my fibreglass flat rooves with felt. They've done 4 of the 5. Guess which one has spring a new leak overnight? FFS....

Armageddon on 16:43 - Nov 2 with 2826 views | HantsR | My sister and family who live in Jersey have had walls, fences and trees blown down in the night, but here in this part of Hampshire, I think we've got off relatively lightly. Schools have been closed and various forms of public transport not running but although it's been wet and breezy, I've seen much worse. Just put the bins out with some confidence...?
